The annual meeting l of
Brucefleld United Church was
held on Sunday evening January
29th with a small attendance.
Rev. M. 'Morrison, Varna, was
chairman and Allan Hill, who was
elected Secretary. gave a report
for 1974. Committee reports
included:
Allan Hill for Treasurer.
Mrs. John Broadfoot, Central
Treasurer for Kippen and
Brucefield who also read a letter
from the M. & M regarding an
increase of money to the United
Church of Canada.
Robert FOtheringham for the
Building Fund reported that only
a small amount was owing on the'
new cjourch at Brucefield.

The Hensall Kinette Club will
canvass the village .on Monday
evening, February 3, on behalf, f
the March-of Dimes.
The March of Dimes operate
specialcamps during the summer
where hanOicaPped adults may
enjoy a vacation and acts as an
advocate on behalf of disabled
adults to insure they receive any
and all benefits to which they are
entitled. The March of Dimes
provides wheel chairs, artificial
limbs, respirators and aids to
daily living and concern includes
all adults with a
disability.
Mr. Elzar Mousseau was
admitted to Seaforth Hospital last
Sunday.

The South Huron Agricultural
Society met in the 1.0.0.F. Lodge
Hall on -Thursday, Ante 23rd at 2
o'clock. The following officers
were elected for • two years.
President: William Coleman,
Kippen; 1st Vice President: Jack
Kinsman, Kippen; 2nd. Vice
President: Bruce Rathwell,
Brucefield. Secretary-Treasurer -
Mrs.Grant MacGregor, Kippen.
Mr. Peter L. McNaughton, who
served, for the past fifteen years
as Lsecretary-treasurer was
presented with a desk set, Mr,
Jack 'Corbett made - the.
presentation.
Mr. McNaughton .replied with
sincere thanks. The annual stock
fair will be held, on June 24th. The
next meeting will be held on
March 17th in the 1.0.0.F. Lodge
Hall.
Barbara McCurdy passed' her
Preliminary Thepry Examinations
with honours. Jill is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Ken McLellan of
Kippen and Barbara ,is the
daughter of Mr. :and Mrs. Don
McCurdy of Hensel. Both girls
are pupils of Miss Greta Lammie.
