A REALLY BIG-CATCH - Kelly Dalton Jr. had-a really gOod hdllday in Acapulco, Mexico this winter. As well as enjoying sun and surf he caught this hugh sail fish in Acapulco 'Bay. The fish, 6' 6" long and weighing 86 pounds is being mounted in Mexico and will eventually hang on the wall of the Dalton horn at RR2 Seaforth. Mr. Dalton and his wife Sharon spent, a week in Acapulco recently. You're invited- The annual congregational meeting of Northside United Church, Seaforth „was held on Wednesday, January 22 and was preceded by a pot/lek supper. The financial reports of. the various organizations within the church were presented and approved. Bill Roberton and Stewart Coupeland were elected to the post of auditor for the coming Hoggarth and Andrew Mc Nichol were elected as elders for a term of four years. Also, Rev. Ure Stewart was elected as a member year. Bev. Thompson, Harold Connell, Elmer Townsend, of the Northside Session. Dr. J. Turnbull, Ken Lingel- bach, Frank Phillips and Hugh McPherson were elected to the Board of Stewards for a three- year. term. The 'report from the restruc- turing committee was accepted as presented. Mrs. Peter Dunlop, Mrs. Wilmer • Broadfoot, Ernest Williams, Geoige Ribo and Don, Bode were elected to the - new Ministry and Personnel Commit- tee. A study committee on church • renovations and a new committee to promote the Christian Stewardship level of the church were formed': The 1975 budget of $34,630.00 was accepted as-presented by the Board of Stewards. Rev. Reuber presented his Yearly report and thanked all out going committee members, the choir leaders and the choir members for their time and efforts during the past year. REv. Stanley MacDonald of Londesboro United Church, to speak to the new Council and' he responded with a timely and inspiring message based on the attributes and requirements of freedom. Each council member spoke briefly expressing his views on the future of the township and each anticipated a congenial and succcessful term of office.The children were invited to ask questions pertaining to " local government. The question and answer period was so popula had to be interrupted because of lack of time. • • Following an adjournment for lunch council recommended when' M. East and M. Batkins were present to distiiss wolf bounties. It was agreed to isntruct the clerk to write' to Township Councils involved, with regards to re-instatement of a county-wide wolf bounty to be paid out by the township and reimbursed by the Seaforth Community Hospital Board - Mrs.. Organizers hope to have an even bigger number • of entries than last year, MrsoStrong said, and to completely fill the arena.
