Dear Sir:
The enclosed maps., might give you a
better idea of how redistribution stands at
the present time.
The Electoral Boundaries Commission
have no intentions of making any changes
unless 10 members object, in which case
the matter will be debated in the House.
Gnly then would minor changes" be
made, In my -estimation, but if
redistribution is brought into the House for
debate, then I feel we should endeavour to,
at least, put Tuckersmith back in with
Hinon Middlesex as it seems rather foolish
to expect the Member from Huron-Bruce to
travel two miles south ,of Hensall, 'when
No. 8 Highway amid more reasonably be
considered the dividing line. ,
A number of the NDP members and the
Tories are very • discontented with the
boundaries as proposed and I might say
that both Bob Eaton and Bill Stewart, have
expressed their dissatisfaction to-the Clerk
of the Assembly, regarding the loss of
Strathroy from the Middlesex South
Riding.
It would not surprise me to see the
proposed electoral boundary changes come
into the House for debate and although I
am pleased to represent the riding as
proposed, I do think it would make a lot of
sense if Tuckersmith was realigned with
the Huron Middlesex Riding.
Any 'comments you may have would lie
greatly appreciated.
