Secondty, 1 may say that our dairy

Seven calves from the dairy depart-

farm stock on the 7th inst., Prof.
Dean made the selection. These
calves were fill front the healthy look-

from four cows in which the lymph
produced a rise in temperature, and

three cows in which the lymph pro-
duced no rise in temperature. We
still have ail these cows, and they
appear perfectly healthy. No one
can raise any question about the three

The seventh annual meeting of the
Dominion Draught Horten Breeders'
Society was held at Clinton on Wed-
nesday last, the attendance of mem-
bers being somewhat eutallcr than
usual but the interest manifested by
those present showed a hopeful spirit
and a confidence in the future of the
society.
President John McMillan occupied
the chair. The reports of the secre-
tary, treasurer and auditore showed
the society to he in good fivanciai
position, the cash balance in back he-

Recommendations by the council that
the annual dues reina;u at 150 roots,
and that all members owing dues prior
to 1893 be suspended, were adopted.
Also resolutions of regret and condo-

founders of the society, ;the late J,• J.
