to his home town to show some
of his colour slides on Saturday,
November 24. The Seaforth
Horticultural n Society is
sponsoring the evening slide
presentation at SDHS.
Dr. Crich, a retired oral
surgeon, began photegraphy as a
hobby in 1951. He now lives in
Grimsby. Three of his colour
photographs are published in the
Natiohal Film Board's Centen-
nial book, Canada, A Year of
the Land. mr. Crich is an
expert in insect- photography
and winter photography, as well
as photographing animals of all
sorts:

She was in Kilbarchan Nursing
Home and Seaforth Community
Hospital for a long time and Miss
Campbell went every day to feed
her. "I took my work along with
me and sat ' with Mother and
wrote''' she says.
Active in First Presbyterian
Church womens' groups and the
local His Sorical Society, Miss
, • 'Campbell says she goes to a lot
of meetingS "There's been no
end to them lately. I heard Mar-,
garet Whyte speak four times
about her daughter Margie's tra-
vbees."
Ist'and' the last time was the

in her "spare" time, Miss
Campbell says (as the inter-
viewer looks around her spotless
house) "I let the dust gather.
I often think what 'Mather 'Would
say about the way I keep house".
She doesn't care for TV "it
must be three weeks or so' since
I've had it on."

always include a rather personal
touch, with interesting tidbits
about the lives of those she •
writes about'. "You' know" she
says, "I've often noticed when
reading the OntarloHistorical
Society publications that the
articles written by men are a
little dull, a little dreary."

David Teahen, chairman of
the Personnel Committee,
reported his committee had met
with the teachers' negotiating
committee on October 17 and will
meet with them again onOctober
24. The 1973-74 salary schedule
has not been set as yet for the
teachers.
Howard Shantz, chairman of
the ad hoc committee on building
projects, reported that work
on the new addition at St. Aloy-
sius School in Stratford is sup-
posed to be completed by the end
of the week, Presently workmen -are laying the new floor In the
gym and the landscaping will be
completed Tuesday. Painting
and other odd jobs are to be
finished this week.
Mr. Shantz. said -that there is
a water problem at St. Aloysius
and suggested a drainage system .
that might solve the problem,
estimated to cost between $6,825
and $7,292.
Mr. Shantz was advised to
secure more information and to
investigate another route for the
drain.
Mr. Tokar reported that
assessment tapes will be
available to , the Assessment
officer, Ed Rowland, on request.
A fee to be eligible for this
service costs $25. As an
example of the information
available from the tapes, Mr,
Tokar said that the names of
separate school supporters could
be obtained for last year, to be
compared to this year's list of
names.
. The meeting adjourned at five
minutes before midnight. A
special meeting will be called
when Board will meet as a
committee of the whole which it
did not do Monday because of
the lateness of the hour.

by Mr. and Mrs. Wm. McLean, was out of the money
with Wm. on -the bike, In the ninth race Jay Bee
Blaze owned by Benson Feagan was fourth with Gerry
Roebuck on the bike.
Friday' night at London Preble Knight owned and
driven by Gord. Pullman, Seaforth, was the race
winner. The mile was in 2.10 and the pay off 3.30.
In the same race Scarlet Slipper owned by Grant and
Carl Fisher, was out of the money, with Carl on the
bike. Scotts Boy, owned by Edith Samis and driven
by John Duckworth, both of Goderich, was ,out of the
money, in the fourth race. In the fifth race, Pebbies
Girl owned by George Feagan, Goderich and Ron
Feagan of Dundas, was the winner with Gerry Roebuck
of Goderich on the bike. The mile was, in 2.11:4 and
the pay off $4.60.
At Hanover Raceway Saturday, Harlo Bucky owned
by H & L Gibnings of Clinton made it three in a row
by winning the list race. Dennis Jewitt was driving.
This was the last night of racing at the Hanover track
for this season.
The Mohawk Raceway at CampellVille opened on
October 14 and will be racing to December 2.
The four-year-old pacer Old Part Duke won his
12th race in a row at 'the London Raceway Saturday
In winning the seventh race. Old Port Duke is owned
by Arthur Jones of Saskatoon, and the' driver was
Jack Kopas. The mile was in 2.04:1 and the pay off
was 0.70.
on Sunday Scorcher Waye set a new track record
for the Leamington Raceway in pacing the ninth nee in
2.06.
