Preble Knight owned and driven by Gord Pullman was the fifth race winner. The mile was In 2.08:2 and the pay off was $4,70. Scarlet Slipper owned by Grant and Carl Fisher was out of the money with Carl on the bike. Scotts Boy owned by Edith.Samis won the seventh race with John.Duckworth driving. The mile. was in 2,10;1 with a pay Off of $65.40. In the same race Pierre Harvester owned by John Smith was third with- Dennis Jewitt on the bike. From 1 the Horse's Mouth The Seaforth Industrial Hockey League will open its eighth season of operation next Sunday, November 4th. Each player will be require(' to pay a $12.00 membership fee in order to play. The only changes from last season are (1) All games will be played at Vanastra until the end of December. (2) If a player moves or quits, he will NOT be replaced after the season starts Nov. 4/73. (3) A .replacement may be allowed in the case of injuries if the executive sees it fit . (4) The schedule' will consist of 15 regular season games with ho exhibition games (14 games last season), (5) The nightly fee will be raised from a $1.00, per night to $1:50 Fier night as long as games .are at Vanastra...,, All games will' start at 7:30 sharp, and 9 0, clock sharp.
