May, Mr. John Melvin, who was .probably the oidest man in the township, died' at the 'residence of his son William, at the renaaakable age of ,9I years and spine mentis. Deceased was daughter of Thnothy Donoghue, Esq., of East Wawaboslt, but was born and lived in that township till her marriage four years a :Fra, Mr, Donnelly. Her death resulted frotheonsumpticn, which followed a severe attack of la grippe a year before. Tho romaine were interred in St. Augustine ceme- tery on Tuesday and were followed by a large concourse of sorrowing friends and relatives.
