a very peaceful spot ' with aback-
ground of beauty, If you follow
that road east it will bring you
out to Highway #4 near Bruce-
field. The village Of Hayfield
with` its rustic setting provides
some interesting scenery also.
Our own town provides much of
interest. Look down Goderich
St. West dr Centre St. and you
will find the trees in full color
almost form a covered bridge

sacrificed to progress as has
been the case in so many places,/
Visitors with Mrs. Anetta ma-

Do take an hour or two and
'search out 'the beauty of the Ca-
nadian autumn. Be sure to choose
a sunny day as the sun adds
brilliance to the colors." Better
still follow the "Cavalcade" to
Muskoka where the "Color Ca-
valcade' P is celebrated each year.
I was fortunate enough to spend
ten years in that fairyland where-'
the scene is enhanced by the pre-
sence of the evergreens anchthe
sparkling blue waters of the
countless lakes. Our own area
provides much beauty if you seek
out the little si.deroads especially
if they have hills.
To grasp a little of Muskoka
beauty, I have usually taken. a
drive along the sideroad to, the
right off Bannockburn Hill bet-
ween Brucefield and Varna. This
is a treasure spot near us. If
you take the first turn to the
right off that sideroad you will
pass Baird's Cemetery which is
