THE GIFT OF GIVING
The Royal Canadian Legion
have a reputation , for helping
m any, not only by supplying finan-
, cial' aid, but also for setting up
programs for junior athletes,
'students, the elderly and the sick.
Many service clubs do the same,
and if it 'were not for the dedi-
cation, of the member-s of these
various organizations there
would be very little done in the
way of helping others.
The Royal Canadian Legion
does not expect to take the credit
for the success of their
programs, they do appreciate
the fact that their members are
willing to work in order to carry
out theii• aims, however if it
were not for the most generous
support of the public it would
be impossible to fulfill any of
theSe extensive programs. So
let us never forget that without
the unhesitating help of the public
our, organization would be much
less effective. When we need
Money for worthy Causes we get
it immediately from those gem-
eroris persons who realize that
now is the time to act and who
do .not wait until it is- too late.
In your garden there are many
roses,
Some of them are white and
some are red;

But I want them now, not

Don't wait to show me your
A.
affection,
Until the' earth is laid, above
my head;
Really I am very fond of roses,
But I want them now, not when
I'm dead,
Why v•ait until my labor is
ended,
Don't you think it better if you
said,
Please accept -this little bunch
of roses,
Yciu want them now, not when,
you are dead.
For .in your garden there are
many roses, ,
And their blossoms like yours
are sped.
Really I am very fond of roses,
But I want them how, not when
I'm dead.
