Van Egmond who'gave the plaque dedication. WILLIA1VLSQN PICNIC The annual Williamson picnic was held at the home of Mr and Mrs. George Nesbitt, Clin- ton on Sunday, August 9. A program of sports and con- tests were conducted by Aida. Jervis and Ina McGrath; Jeffrey. Nesbitt was the_ youngest baby .present, and with Brian William- son and Catherine Williamson, received a silver dollar. Mr. and Mrs. Actin Forbes also attended the picnic. Most recent bride and groom were Eileen and Dave Morrison of Milverton. Helen Williamson and Eileen Morrison were in charge of supper served- to over forty guests. Evelyn Carter-acted as ,,,,,,, dent In the absence "Of '' tffida' Trentlenian, A Many interested citizens attended the unveiling of the historical plaque marking the Van Egmond house as a museum and major tourist attraction on Saturday afternoon. The Ontario Historic Sites. Board provided the plaque which describes the architecture of the house as "typical of the Canadian vernacular interpretation• of the Georgian style"- Those who took part in 'the ceremony are (1 to r) R. Alan Douglas, repreSentative of the Historic Sites Board of Ontario, Seaforth Reeve John Flannery, Master of Ceremonies A part of the large crowd who attended the unveiling of the historical plaque at the Van Egmond house on Saturday enjoy shade from the large old trees on the property as they listen to speeches. Mrs. Moore, from Mount Morris, Michigan, is a great granddaughter of Colonel' Van Egmond and was accompanied by her son and daughter at the ceremony. NEWS OF Winchelsea Correspondent Mrs. Wm.
