Domage, son of C harles, and Etoile Dolmage (nee Sharp) of Kitchener was born in Clinton and lived 'In Seaforth for several. years before moving to Kitchener. He was employed by O ntario Hydro until 1960 when he entered the mobile feed business. Jean Dolmage ( nee Gibbings) grew up -in the Clinton .area. "We liked living in Mitchell and our mobile business was already established so we decided to build the mill here", she said. The new mill will be an asset to the town and the community is a help to the Dolmage's business wise and socially. ' An attractive woman, .pleas- and and soft spoken, Mrs. Dolmage works as a full- time bookkeeper for .• Mitchell Mobile Feed Service Limited as- well as raising a family of four. She has kept the books for the family business • since her husband. Ed. bought his first mobile feed truck in /960. It's only since Mitchell Mobile Feed Service...beeameee limited com- pany that she has been a paid employee. Before the completion of the new • mill. the office operated. out of the Doll:Liege's residence on Francis Street, "Things should be a little better organized with more space to work in at the new offices," said Jean. Both she and . her husband will have an office of their own at ,the new mill. She smiled." Linda likes to cook anteis a very good sewer". Linda Dolmage, a pretty 18 year old is attending 'Sir Sandford Fleming College 'in Lindsay this fall. She plans to take a biologae option.- Richard, 20, works. at the feed mill and 16 yeei old Bruce has a summer job there. The Dol- mage's youngest, 7 year old Anne is a curly headed bundle of fan and. energy and is in . Grade 2 this year. A typical day in the'Dolmage household begins early at 6 a.m. Ed. Dolmage does the morning chores and then makes up 'the list of routes for the mobile feed mill operators when they come in at 7.' After breakfast, "I could be doing any number of things", says Mr. Dolmage. "Generally I talk' to salesmen and do business with farmers who need feed ground or wish to buy grain or concentrate". Mr. Dolmage's first concern is the businessman or farther and his needs. "If a man is in a hurry and he needs his feed right away we'll try to work him in" he said. It isn't a job where ode can pack it in at five o'clock, if the mill has orders to fill it'll still be operating at mid night. Lately the Dolmages have been very .busy getting ,the mill ready for the grand opening. Mr. Free draws and refreshments at mill opening The mill 'cat , - Ever see a mill without a cat to catch the rat? This wee beastie is one of six mill kittens in residence at the Mitchell Feed mill. Sure they're cute but they serve a very practical purpose. A feed mill Is a rodent's paradise so the kittens are a preventative measure against invasion, The sanitary land Lill site for Mitchell Is located directly behind the mill and rats may come into the mill from that source. However they Oon't get far. The kittens will soon be keen 'mousers. Donated by neighboring farmers the young cats are in training. Brought to the mill as newborns they Will regard the mill as their home and won't roam. Full grown cats would be harder to keep around.
