Peggy Louise Govier, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Go-
vier of Seaforth, and Lawrence
E. Colelough, son of Mr. and
Mrs. David Colelough, Clinton
were marriecl$ in a double ring
ceremony by Rev. Mervin Reu-
ben at Northside United Church,
Seaforth on August 4 at 7 p.m.
The church was decorated with
yellow and white daisies.
Escorted down the aisle by
her father, the bride wore a long
white polyester crepe dress with
puffed lace sleeyes, empire waist
and a long train. She wore a Ju-
liet cap with a three-tier shoul-
der length veil and carried yel-
low roses with ivy and baby's
breath on a white bible.
Elaine McClure, R.R. 2, Sea-
forth, friend of the bride, was
maid of honor, and bridesmaids
-were Brenda Colclough, Clinton,
sister of the groom and Ruth,
Govier, Seaforth, sister of the
bride. They wore long dresses
ai yellow polyester crepe, with
short puffed sleeves, empire
waists, and tops covered with
dotted swiss, and carried white
daisies on white bible. •
Donna O'Connell, niece of the
bride, was flowergirl and wore a
similar dress and carried abas-
ket of white daisies. Daryl and
Daniel O'Connell, nephews of the
bride, were ring bearers.
Robert Morrison, Varna,
friend of the groom, waa rooms-
man and ushers were Ken Col-
clough, Clinton, brother of the
groom, and Ross Govier, Sea-
forth, brother of the bride.
Mrs. Carol Carter was or-
ganist and Mrs. ,Ann Woods, the
soloist, sang ,,Walk Hand in
H and."
A reception at the Seaforth
Legion Hall followed the cere-
mony. • Ian wilbee's orchestra
played. The bride's mother re-
ceived guests wearing a floor
length gown of lilac flowered po-
lyester crepe and a corsage of
yellow roses. The groom's mo-
ther assisted and wore a floor-
length gqwn of blue crepe cov-
ered with flowered sheer mater-
ial, and a corsage of pink roses.
Guests were present from
Leamington, London, Blyth,God-
erich, Clinton, Londesboro, Sea-
forth, Staffa and Mitchell.
For a wedding trip to Northern
Ontario, the bride wore a sleeve-
less empire style dress of orange
peau de sote-Mr. -and Mrs. Col
Cloughwill reside at 29 Regina
St., Vanastra.
Prior to , her wedding, the
bride was honored by showers
given by Helen and Brenda Col-
clough in Clinton; Verna Hes-
selwoodcand Brenda Finlayson in
Seaforth; Joan McDougall in G od-
erich and Gloria Reeves, Judy
Lamont, and Elaine McClure in
Seaforth.
Blyth United Church was the
setting for the candle light wed-
ding on June 30, 1973 uniting
Patricia Jeanne •.Badley and
Harvey Carl Bernard. The bride
is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Lorne Badley, R.R.#3, Walton,
and the groom is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. George Bernard, 152
Queen Street, Clinton.
Given in marriage by her
mother and father , the bride
wore a white floor-length gown of
sheer crystalette with rose pat-
tern appliques of imported Bel-
gian lace on the train and skirt
of gown. The dress had a Vic-
torian neckline accented with
white 'daisies and long bishop
sleeves set off with a long chapel
train caught at the waistline with
matching daisies. Her headpiece
was a Juliette cap caught with a
pure silk illusion veil with match-
ing pearl daisies. She carried a
nosegay of red roses and baby's
breath with white velvet stream-
ers.
Attending the bride were Miss
—Marie- Bernard, Clinton,_ sister
of ' the groom as maid of honour;
Mrs. Dianne Badley, Brodhagen
and Mrs. Myrtle Badley, Blyth,
sisters-in-law of the bride. The
. attendants wore identical gowns
in hot pink crystalette with long
full sleeves. Their dresses alSo
had Victorian necklines with
white daisies in panels down the
front of the dresses. The girls
carded crescents of yellowpoms
and white daisies.
Attending the groom 'as best
man was Les Bernard, R. it, 1,
Seaforth, brother 'of the groom.
Ushers were Larry Badley, Blyth
brother of the bride, and Wally
East , Lindsay, cousin of the
groom. The bride's re other wore
a blue crimpoline floor-length
gown with sheer sleeveS and
blue cuffs. The groom's mother
wore a floor-length gown of blue
and green floral chiffon. BOth

. The garden was the, setting
for the wedding of Linda Ruth
Friend, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Charles Friend, Dublin, to Mr.
Terry David Pearce, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Roy Pearce, Hamilton,
on June 23rd, 1973. The Rev.
Harry Donaldson of ' Delhi,
Ontario, officiated.
The bride wore a floor-length
sheath. dress' of cream Guipure
lace, mandarin collar and cap
sleeves. -Her. double tierred veil
of cream silk illusion fell from
a Juliet cap covered with Guip-
ure lace. The veil was bordered
with medallions andflowersfrom
-the lace of the dress. She car-
ried a spray of yellow, white
and orange roses-. She was at-
tended by her maid of honour,

chener, who wore a sheer yellow
and orange floor length dress with
yellow picture hat. She carried a
basket of white daisies with
yellow and orange roses.
The wedding dinner was
served in the Parish Hall of St.
Thomas' Anglican Church, Sea-
forth, and reception later at
bride's home in Dublin.
The bride's mother wore a
floor-length gown of blue, green
and gold sheer, with a goad orchid
corsage. The groom's mother
chose a floor-length dress with
black skirt and white bodice, wore
a wrist corsage of white orchids.
Guests attended from Hamil-
ton, •Caledonia, Vancouver,
Edmonton, Galt, Kitchener,
Palmerston, Welland and Delhi.
The' bride and groom have
taken up residence do Kitchener.

Brass candelabra, white
mums, red carnations, and green
fern decorated Northside United
-Church on Saturday, July 14 for
the ' marriage of Miss Gail Ha-
milton Doig to Mr. William Ro-
bert Price. The bride is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ken
Doig of Seaforth and the groom
is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Al-
fred Price, also of Seaforth.
The double ring ceremony was
officiated by Rev. T.C. Mulhol-
land and the organist' Mrs. J.
Stewart played traditional music
selected,by the bride and groom.
Given in marriage by her fa-
ther, the brideawore a long white
sleeveless gown of chiffon over
affeta. The_sc.00p neckline_waS
accented by a wide ruffle of
falling lace and the entire hem-
line and chapel train were
trimmed, in similar lace. The
waistline was cummerbund style
and her mantilla veil was held
by a Juliet cap covered in lace
matching that of the dress. The
bride's only Jewellery was,a cul-
tured drop pearl. ands earned

Miss Carol Anne Doig, sister
of the bride, wa's maid of honor
and the bridesmaids were Miss
Debbie Doig, cousin of the bride,
and Mrs. Barbara' watt, both of
Egmondville -and Mrs. Barbara
Sararas.of London.• They were -
gowned alike in red, white and
green plaid seersucker dresses
with scoop neckline, , short
Sleeves and a deep ruffle at the
hemline. They wore white pic-
ture hats with red ribbon and
sprigs of imported Scottish hea-
ther., White baskets of red,
white and green F dried Mate*
and red, riboon completed their
ensemble.
Miss Judy Wilson of Burling-
ton was flowergirl. She was
dressed in a long -dress-mat-
ching the bridesmaids Land car-
ried a similar basket of floWers'.

Upon being piped from the ,A
church by piper Peter Malcolm
the happy couple was showered
with Scottish rose petal confetti
brought from Scotland. Miss
' Jennifer Watt of Egmondville
presented the bride with a lucky
11iirsical horseshoe-brought-from --
Scotland by her grandparents.
Following the wedding a din-
ner-reception was held at Sea.-
forth Golf and Country Club.
The bride's mother received
guests wearing a pink and white
chiffon dress. Her pink orchid •

polazzo pant suit with white ac-

was the setting for the candle-
light wedding of Janice Lynn Eyre
and • Laurence Raymond Snell.
Thf,r.eremony was performed by
,Rfv. Hancock on June 29, 1973.
Parents of the couple are Mr.
an Mrs. Charles Eyre, Egmond-
v e 'and Mr. and 'Mrs. Ray-
mond Snell, Londesboro.
• Miss Jo-anne Snell, sister of
the groom sang The Lord's
Prayer and wedding Prayer ac-
companied by Mrs. Arnold Scott
at the organ.
The bride given in marriage
by her father chose a short-
sleeved, full length, empress line
gown of white silk organza, with
scooped neckline and apple blos-
' som appliques adorning the bod-
ice and skirt which fell from
the back to form a cathedral train.
A pearl headpiece held a match-
ing , veil. The bride carried a
nosegay of white shasta daisies
accented with colored stephanotis

maid of honor, Miss Jayne Snell,
Londesboro, bridesmaid, and
Miss Karen Eyre, Guelph, flow-
ergirl. The bridesmaids were
gowned alike in full length flo-
ral patterned dresses trimmed
with white laCe and complemen-
tary wide-brimmed hats. The
flowergirl wore a similar full
length gown in green. They
carried antiqued brass lanterns
decorated with white shasta dal-
sieS' and variegated ribbon to
match the gowhs.
Best man was Mr. David
Medd, Blyth, guests were ush-
ered by Mr. Kenneth Slade, Clin-
ton and ringbearer was Steven
Eyre, Guelph. •
The bride's mother chose a
floor length gown of yellow floW-
erect 'chiffon accented, with a cor-
sage of white carnations. The
groom's mother was dressed in a
pink flowered full length gown of
crepe and a corsage of white
carnations.
A reception was held at the
bride's parents home following
the wedding. The bride wore a
floral gown of polyester moss
crepe with white accessories and
a corsage of mauve miniatures
as her going away outfit.
The couple are residing In
Goderich after a wedding trip
to Northern Ontario.

Walton were married by Rev.
Donald Beck, at Hensall United
Church,, on August 4, at 3 p.m.
Mauve mums and white' glads
decorated the church.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, looked stunning in
her floor-length gown of white
polyester crepe. The empire
bodice with a high vic tartan neck-
line was delicately trimmed in a
yoke effect with exquisite swiss
guipure lace. The• semi-full
sleeves were caught at the wrist
and offset with the same lace.
The semi-A-Line skirt was
complimented by a detachable
chapel train and bordered all
around with the same Swiss
guipure lace. To complete her
bridal outfit the bride wore a
three layer scalloped veil with
lace and a dainty headpiece. She
-carried a colonial style round
bouquet of sweetheart roses, baby
mums, baby's breath and ste-
phanotis,
Matron of honour was Mrs.
Doug. Wein, Whitby and the
bridesmaids :re Mrs. Don
Penrose, firampton, cousin of
the bride, Faye Dalton, R.R.1,
Walton sister of the groom and
Cindy and Cathy Parker, Hensall
nieces of the bride. Ann Mc-
Clure was the flowergirl.
The attendants wore floor-
length gowns of flocked polyes-
ter in multi-colours, with tops of
plain white polyester, and styled
similar to the bride's dress. They
carried round bouquets of mauve
mums and pink status.
Neil Beuerman, Stratford,
was groomsman and the ushers
were Ken Dalton, R.R.I, Walton,
brother of the groom, Rick
parker, Hensall, nephew of the
bride, Elgin Dearing, R, R. 1,
Dublin and Brian Godkin, R.R.4,
Walton. David Wein, Whitby,
the bride's nephew, was ring-
bearer.
Mrs;, John Turkheilf , Zurich
was 'organist and accompanied
the soloist, Gail Stitt, London,
who sang "The Wedding Prayer",
"The Lord's prayer" and "0
Perfect rL ove".
A reception followed in
Hensall United Church basement,
with guests present from Bramp-
ton, London, Grand Bend, Exeter,
Hensall, Stratford and Mitchell.
For a wedding trip to North-
• ern ohtario, the bride donned a
pink pant suit with white acqes-
sories and, a white daisy cor e
sage. On their return, the bride
and groom will reside on Market
Street, in Seaforth.
St. Andrew's United Church,
Hayfield was decorated with bas-
kets of white daisies and gladio-
lus and candelabra entwined with
flowers -for the July 14th wedding
of Sharon Rose Keys and William
John Carnochan. The bride's
parents are Mr. and Mrs. James
Keys of R.R, 1, Varna, and Mrs.
Anne Carnochan of Seaforth is
the mother of the groom. •
The 'double' .ring ceremony
.was solemnized by Rev. Murdock
Morrison and Rev. James
Reddock.
• The bride wore a full length
Victorian styled white chiffon
gown. Crochet lace panels ac-
cented the square yoke bodice,
drop shouldered sleeves, wed-
ding ring collar, and trimmed
the natural waistline. Chiffon
ruffles and matching lace
trimmed the bottom 'of the gown
floWing into the attached Watteau
train. She wore a white daisy
tiara and carried a boquet of
white daisies,' pink roses, blue
cornflowers and mauve baby's
breath.
The maid of honor, Miss Anne
Hayter of Varna, wore a dress
of white daisies on pale blue
polyester with square yolk and
ruffle extending over shoulder
from natural waist, long gathered
sleeves with bow at back.
The bridesmaids, Mrs. Susan .
Gingerich of Zurich, Miss Bar-
bara Keys of Varna, Miss Bar-
bara Graham of Bayfield and
Mrs. Pauline Nicholson of
Goderich were gowned identically
to the maid of honor in shades
of yellow ? mauve, green and pink.
Gary Nicholson of Goderich
was the groomsman and guests
were ushered by Douglas Dal-
rymple of Hanover, Brian Melady
of Lucan, Steve Murray of Sea-
forth and David Brady of Toronto.
Mrs. Berne McKinley was
organist and accompanied Miss
Cheryl Peck and Miss Kerry
Lawson when they sang.
The bride's mother received
the guest's at a reception at the
Zurich Community center. ,She
wore a floor length gown of
capri blue chiffon with white
accessories and a corsage of
pink roses., •
The groom's mother chose
a long gown of mauve and green
floral chiffon with white acces-
sories and a 'corsage of pink
camellias. •
For travelling the bride
changed to a knee length pale
blue dotted crepe --dress with
white accessories and a corsage
of white stephanotis.
After a wedding trip to Europe
the bride and groom are living
at 563 Mornington Ave., London,
Ont.
