of Mrs. Eugene St. Louis on
Wednesday afternoon. There
were 18 present. Margaret
Taylor opened the meeting with a
poem "Taking Time" and Ida
Leiner read the Scripture. Ra-
mona Jamieson, gave a reading
and prayer and readings from the
book "Career in Social Service"
by Ria Smith. A questionnaire
on hymns was conducted by Mar-
garet Taylor. Greta St. Louis
gave a demonstration on making
lamp shades. Mrs. Ed. Bell con-
ducted the business session and
gage a -reading. The treasurer's
report was given by Jean Leiper
and a thank you letter from The
Scott Mission, Toronto was
read by Gladys Leiper.
Auxiliary and
W.M.S. meet
Members of the Barbara
Kirkman Auxiliary and W.M.S.
of First Church met at the home
of the President, Mrs. Keith
Sharp on Tuesday evening and
enjoyed a delicious pot luck din-
ner. There were 31 present.
A. number of contests were
conducted by Mrs. Reg Kers-
lake and Mrs. Sharp presided for
business. Minutes were read by
secretary, Mrs. R.K. McFarlane
and the treasurer's report by
Miss Janet Cluff.
Thirteen calls were made to
the shut-ins. Mrs. R.S. Hab-
kirk was in charge of devotions
when Mrs. James A, McDonald
gave a paper on India, telling
of the needs of that large coun-
try and also told of the music
in India.

had been minister there from
1931 to 1936. He also spoke
at Mount Forest United Church
in the evening of his association
with that congregation over 45
years ago and also since his
retirement.
