Bantams
The Dublin bantams attended
'a softball tournament in Tavis-
tock on Saturday, June 23 and
were fortunate enough to place
second in the 'final standings.
There were a total of four
teams entered in the tournament
including Dublin, Brodhagen
Clinton and Tavistock.
The first game played by the
Dublin girls was against Brod-
hagen and was considered the •
'best .of the entire tournament.
Very few errors were commited
by either team and it was an
extremely well-played game.
The final score was 5-4 in favour
of Dublin. At the end of five,
and one half innings, Brodhagen
was leading by a score of 4-1.
Hbwever the Dublin girls picked
up tWeir socks and tied the game.
Brodhagen was unable to score
in the seventh but Dublin having
• last bat managed to score the
second in
winning run.
Having won this game, the
Dublin girls had to play the win-
ner of • the Tavistock-Clinton
game. Tavistock won, over Clin-
ton. Therefore the Dublin Girls
had to. play back to back with
Tavistock. The girls, tired from
their game with Brodhagen, lost
this game 17-7. Since this was
a double knockout tournament,
the Dublin girls still had a third
game to play . If they won this
game, they would play in the
finals." '
Dublin, in the semi-finals
played Brodhagen once again.
This. game was played wide open
and this time the Dublin girls
managed an easy win by defeat-
ing the Brodhagen girls 18-9.
Dublin now with 2 wins and
1 loss had eliminated Brodhagen.
Clinton had ylreviously been eli-
minated by Brodhagen, There- CONSTANCE

Darlene Templeman has ac-
your week ahead
BY DR. A.W. DAMIS
Forecast Period: July 1 - July 8
It's probable that you will ponder and put aside
a decision, concerning a member of the oppo-
site sex. Bluntly, it's not advisable for a change
in your romance pattern.
There's a tendency, on your part, to rehash past
mistakes, The point? Let bygones be bygones.
Again, don't let the past intrude into the pres-
ent, otherwise , . . serious domestic problems.
You won't find your mate or similar alliance
easy to handle, Why? You're inclined to play
"eat and mouse," in order to get a super ro-
mantic reaction.
An incident or event should give you an insight
into long pending promises that will not be
fulfilled. Actually, this week's cosmic cycle en-
ables you to see things, objectively.
Many under your sign face a frustrating week
of "warmed over" promises. If things do not
materialize financially or romantically . . cut
bait! Most important, don't fall for flattery.
A foolish -move, rather, a move that your asso-
ciates consider as being foolish . . will pay off,
Strange stellar patterns, so it seems, are con-
verting "hopeless blunders" into unbelievable
gains.
Emotionally, this particular cosmic cycle could
be troublesome. It's highly probable that you
will undergo a period of "laughing on the out-
side, crying on the inside."
It's very possible, you will be manipulated into
either saying or doing something that is not
your idea. Don't pull someone else's chestnuts
out of the fiire!
Almost the exact circumstances that triggered
an embarrassing situation with the opposite sex,
in the past, will re-occur. So, arm cenerself with
past experience .
You will be reaching into the past for an old
friend or previous training. According to your
chart, the past, in one form or another, will
come into play.
Boredom with routine shows in your chart. Con-
sequently, being error or accident prone, be-
cause of taking short tuts, is po'ssible. Follow
basic safety rules: you'll heat the prediction.
Minor difficulties with your mate or similar
alliance is indicated. One ther thing, -any help
from t opposite sex will Wye strings attached.
Mrs. Joe Crbnin holds the tickets as Mrs. Joyce (Don) McClure draws the winner of the
Dublin Girls Softball draw. Mat Murray, #1, Dublin `won the $100 draw sponsored by the Dublin
Junior Girls Softball team. The lucky ticket was sold to Mr. Murray by Cathy Murray and
Helen Ryan, members of the team, which sponsored the draw in order to raise money for new
equipment. The draw was held at the game at Dublin Ball Park on Friday night. Brodhagen
