eldest son of John Wynn, a well known
resident of Brussels, dried, aged 25 years
and 10 months. The deceased had been
poorly for some years.and his death was

kind hearted, good natured. youth who
+enjoyed the esteem of all who knew him

Ottawa, have practically finished their
inspection of the telands of the St
Lawrence River between Kingston
and Cornwall. They estimate the
slumber of islands as between 1,400
and 1,500.
Toronto Globe; Roy. Dr. Potts has
received so far promises of $510,000 in
aid of the college confederation
scheme. Of this amount $457,000 has
actually been subscribed, leaving
only about $53,000 to collect, and
almost every post brings in part of the
unpaid balance. It is believed that
when the year's work is completed at
the end of May all the $510,000 will
be in hand.
There is plenty of time, but it inay
not be out of plate to mention the fast
that an Act was passed at the last
session of the Ontario Legislature for
the protection hoes, which enacts that
