Basis of consolidation The Consolidated Balance Sheet reflects the assets and liabilities of the revenue fund, the capital fund and ail reserve funds of the municipality. The assets and liabilities of any local boards of the municipality have not been con- solidated. 3. Net long terns liabilities Total long term liabilities incurred by the municipality and outstanding at the end of the year amount to $894,658. Of the outstanding long term liabilities. sh9wn above, the responsibility for payment of principal and -interest charges has been assumed by others for an amount of (680,500) The balance in the debt retirement fund of the Ontario Water Resources Commission which has alcumulated to the end of the year to retire the outstanding long term liabilities shown above amounts to , (43,352) Net long term liabilities at the end of the year $170,806 4. Assumption of debentures issued for school purposes On January 1, 1969 the Huron County Board of Education assumed from the municipality the responsibility for the payment of the principal and interest charges on the\ debentures , issued kir school purposes.
