of Walton, passed away Sunday,
June 3, in Strasburg, Sask..Death
Occurred on his 96th birthday.
Mr. Dougla,s who is survived
by five daughters and two sons,'
was the husband of the former •
Nettie Crich of Tuckersmith.
Burial followed on wednes
in Strasburg.
1500th MEMBER FOR FEDERATION
Ronald Gordon, a Morris township farmer, became the1500th member of the Ontario Federation
-of Agriculture in Huron county on Thursday when he signed his membership in a small ceremony '
on his farm.
Mr. Gordon, his wife, son and daughter run a mixed farm on the eighth concession- df:Merris
with beef and•dalry cattle and h"Oks. He has farmed-In Morris for 21 years after growing up oh his
father's,,farm in Grey township which is still run by his brother Bill.
He, was sold hiunembership by Bill Pullen (right) R.R.2, Blyth, a neighbour front just down
the' road. He said he purchased the membership because he feels it is important for farmers to
have a strong voice.

Gerald (Carl) Van Der ton,
57, of Seaforth died suddenly on
Sunday.' Born and educated in
Holland, he came, to Seaforth in
1952. Mr., Van Der Zon was a
baker. in early life but for a num-
ber of years a drivei- salesman
for Topnotch Feeds. Ltd.
His. wife, the former Maria
van Velzen, to whom heves mar-
ried in Holland in 1942, sur-
vives, along with two daughters,
Mrs. Tom (Cornelia) Schoonder-
woerd, Mitchell and Mrs. Don
(Elizabeth) Xrauskopf, Clinton,,
three grandchildren and slaters

Seaforth died in Seaforth Com-
munity Hospital, ...Friday, June 1.
The former Mabel Bolton, she
was a datighter of the late Mr.
and Mrs. Thomas Bolton of Mc-
=top Towiship.
Mrs. Holley was married .,at
Mitchell in 1926. She was a mem-,
ber 'of Northeide United Church.
She is survived by her hus-
band and two daughters, Mrs:
Nelson (Maxine) Marks and Mrs.
Howard (Audrey) Hackwell, both
of Walton; three sons Eldon B.
of Seaforth, Kenneth M..of Lon-
desboro, and Donald A. of Mt.
Clemens, Mich.; a sister, Miss
Elizabeth Bolton of Seaforth, 21
grandchildren and three great-
grandchildren.

ducted at the R.S. Box Funeral .
Home on Monday by Rev. M. E.
Reuber.. Interment followed at
Brussels Cemetery. Pallbear-
