e This was a-lively and interesting

Students council
.,Diiring the past week nomina-
tions for the next year's Students'
Council Executive was held.
There has been a lot ,s.f spirit
• go' into this election and the cam-
paigning has beenwell-organized
and effective. Each candidate
has been busy exhorting his views
on, what this school needs and
trying to swing votes. The catn-
paign rigs• been done in good
humour and no hard feelings
were aroused. On Tuesday morn-
ing before voting, each presiden-
tial candidate had to get up and
make ahort speech on his
views dnd policies. This was
to introduce the candidates and
let the student body know more
aboUt them to help in their
decision. The candidates for
president were as follows: Clay-
toh Fraser, Ken Chinters, Stuart
Scott, Sam Murray, and John
Elligsen. Voting was held over
the ,noon hours and results were
announced before 3:00 p.m. For
president there was a tie betvieen
Tom Murray and Clayton Fraser.- . for which there will be another
election Wednesday to determine
the Vice Preiident. For secre-
tary next year is Ann Stewart
and treasurer is Barb Kerslake.
All are very responsible students
and it should prove to" be a
successful Students' Council next
