Mrs. Owen Ilitchcox, the lecture - singer, gave four of her lectures here on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday of this week. On Sunday afternoon she was lii seened to by a large audience in the Methodist church, and on Sunday evening at 8 o'clockthe church was crowded, many signing total abstinence pledge. On Monday evening she spoke in St. Andrew's church on "Neutrality"; she had a large audience of eager and sympathetic listeners and on Tuesday evening she reviewed the prohibition movement and inauguration cf the state of Kansas. She is an excellent speaker and her discourses are full of facts concerning the enormity of the liquor traffic. Though some of her statements were ex- tremely startling they could not in the smallest degree be refuted. Her singing Was a very important feature, and she was assisted at all her meetings by a union choir. C;Ovor two hundred and six signed the pledge, end Blytk never before received such a temperance revival.—Standard. clear cut and show an amazing grasp of the situation as well as the natural re- sults which might be expected from the conditions which surrounded them.
