Resolutions passed at the
April meeting of Grey Council
included: -
• -Mind Forman Tank and Weld-
ing Limited be authorized to re-
pair the tank truck for lire
department as per corres-
pondence dated March 23rd, at an
estimated cost of.$1,389.00 also
I Vanexan Motor Sales Limited to
certify the truck at an estimated
cost of $325.00.
-That Barbara Dunbar be paid
mileage of $15.00 to St. Marys
regarding the tank truck for fire
department.
-That Barbara Dunbar and
Donald Martin be appointed to
investigate the purchasing of a
possible lot for a fire hall.
- That By-Law No. 7 of 1973
to establish a Fire Department
be passed as read a first, second
and third times.
-That the clerk be instruc-
ted to prepare a recreation by-
law.
-That Clarence Clarke be
appointed a Livestock Valuer to
replace Lawson,Ward.
Accounts paid included Gen-
eral - $2,255.62 and Roads &
Bridges $4,708.61 for a total of
$7,044.23.

Rev. Murdock Morrison of
Varna United Church took the
devotional services this week. He
read the Easter Story from St.
John's gospel Chapter twentyfol-
lowed by a realistic portrayal of
events following the Crucifiction
in coloured film. It dealt with
all the characters who were in-
volved in the Resurrection. Rev.
M. E. Reuber called on Sunday
afternoon and administered Com-
munion to some of the patients.
Winter holidays have become
very popular.
Several members of the Staff
have returned with varying de-
grees of tan. Mrs. Mae Water-
worth -visited with her parents
Mr. and Mrs. Mel Clarke in
Phoenix, Ariz. Mr. and Mrs.
T. WIlbee visited relatives. in
Las Vegas, Los Angeles and.
while in San Francisco visited
Mr. and Mrs. Neil Taylor, a
former Seaforth girl Wilma Hay.
Major and Mrs. Frank Golding
accompanied them.
Mrs. Doris Muir and Dave
visited with her parehts Mr. and
Mrs. Carl Dalton who are win-
tering in St. Petersburg, Fla.

her daughter, Margie's ex-

sent to her from there.

and led in prayer.

on "Easter" and "Christ Is Ri-
sen." Courtesy remarks were
given by Mrs. McCartney and
Mrs. Close closed the meeting
with prayer.
Fireside
group meets
The Fireside Fellowship
group of First Church met in
the centennial room on Tuesday
evening when John Patterson,
the President, conducted the bus-
iness. Miss Peg Grieve was
at the piano.
Mrs. i wm. Brown read the
100th psallm and John Patterson
read a prayer.
Plans were made for a rum-
mage sale on May 5th and the
20th anniversary on May 6th.
Visitors included Mr. and
Mrs. Sam Phillips who have late-
ly come from London to reside
here.
