Gordan Papple introduced
the guest speaker, Mr. wana-
maker, Port. Perry, Provincial
Grand Master of the I.O.O.F. In
his opening remarks he congratu-
lated the members of the organii-
ations on such a wonderful turn-
out for Brotherhood Night despite
the inclement weather.
His theme emphasized in-
volvement. "Be proud to belong
to any organization in Brother-
hood", he said. "Have faith and
anything can be done if all. mem-
bers in your organiiation will
come up with ideas, which is
probably what is needed for ac-
tion. Be a worker and when
the ,.chips are down you know
what really counts is that people
do care."
The one idea, service to your
fellowman, means to be more than
just a joiner of an organization,
he continued adding it was neces-
sary to become a good supporter,
physically, morally and finan-
cially. You are the men who are
doing the work.
There are three kinds of
members, he stated, the ones who
make things happen, the stand
badks and the ones with no
ideas. Why belong, if you don't
want the service of your fellow-
man but render to others what
you would have them render unto
youe You know we in Brother-
hood are trying to just pay the
rent for the room we have on
this earth of ours. So get in-
volved. Let's have action no
matter what organization you mzy
belong to. Be proud "of your
_organization.- In closing, he im-
organization. In closing, he ex-
pressed the hope that "Odd-
fellowship would not prosper at
the expense of others".
Jim Itose thanked the guest
speaker, expressing appreciat-
ion of all present for a most
excellent discourse. Bob Camp-
bell thanked the Ladies Auxiliary
for catering. The program con-
sisted of a solo by Mayor Sills
who then led i community sing-
ing. George ktomanik gave a
few numbers on the accordian and
was fc 'awed by Archie Mann
with a few violin selections.
Following the program there
was a social hour. The evening
was sponsored by the Seaforth
I.O.O.F. Lodge.

you sigh
But all I could do, was just
stand by
When the time came I suffered

For,,you never deserved what

God saw you getting weaker,
He' did what he thought best,
He put his arms around you
And whispered "Come and
rest".
