hard to get a believable figure
on the final score. Both teams
are practising faithfully in antici-
pation of WOSSA coming up this
weekend. The boys play one
game Friday night and again on
Saturday. As many spectators
and supporters as possible are
asked to come because our boys
have lots of potential and your
cheers might just give them the
confidence they need to win.
ONTARIO FORM III
Volleyball
On Saturday, the Senior Girls'
Volleyball team wound up their
season for another ,year.
The girls attended •WOSSA, a
day-long tournament held in
Strathroy this year. The girls
started off the day well with
their game against St. Pat's in
Lambton County. The girls beat
St. Pat's two straight games
but were not as successful for
the remainder of the day. Glen-
dale beat Seaforth with our girls
winning one out of three games.
Similarly Seaforth' lost in their
games against Dorchester. Des-
pite the setbacks the girls had
a good season and should be com-
mended for their hardwork and
spirit.
Track
The Roadrunner Club atSDHS
finally saw some reward for their
many weeks of hard work. The
team attended their first indoor
track meet at Saunders Secon-
dary School in London, Thursday
night. There were 32 students
from Seaforth attended along with
students from St. Marys, Clark
Road Secondary School, Saunders
and South. Seaforth showed up
well, often coming out ahead of
pretty experienced runners.
'Final results will be recorded
when results are all back.Those
that attended the track meet
enjoyed themselves and became
more enthused than ever about
Track. Coach Johnston is look-
ing for more would be track
stars as there is room for many
more yet. Anyone interested is
needed and welcome.
Curling
Success was the name of the
game for our Curling team last
Wednesday. They attended the
Huron-Perth Curling Bonspiel,
the boys along with Mr. Morton
in Teeswater and the girls ac-
companied by their coach Mrs.
Weido, being held at Wingham.
The girls team, made up of
Darlene Storey, Skip, Faye Storey
Vice Skip, Liz Price, second, and
Karen Hemingway, lead, won all
three, of their games to bring
home the trophy. This success'
will take them to WOSSA in St.
Thomas on March 9th and 10th,
The boys' team got off to a
shaky start by losing to Clinton
but came back to defeat Strat-
ford Northwestern and St. Marys
and place 3rd overall. This is
good curling by the Seaforth
teams and we hope the girls can
maintain this at WOSSA coming
up. Good luck.
Record Draw
The Drama Club had the last
of it's record draws on Friday
night. The records offered were
Uriah Heep, Demons and Wiz-
ards, Lighthouse Live 'and Thun-
dermug. Those winning the draw
were Mr. Burgess, Shirley Brint-
nell and Art Gruinveld.
Wingham Toured
The 1VIarketing 400 classes
went on a field trip to CKNX
IN Wingham on Tuesday. 'Ihe
group , along with Mr. Dough-
erty, were given a very Interest-
ing and informative tour, The
class had been studying com-
munications and the media and
„this was an excellent chance to
observe it first-hand. The gen-
eral manager gave them a brief
introduction to the studio and
then they were shown the radio
and television studios, the tele-
type machine and met some tele-
vision personalities. The group
certainly enjoyed themselves and
were invited to come back and
visit again ., any time.

Dennis lives at home with three
sisters at R.F..92, Walton,
Ontario. Before attending
Seaforth, Steven went -to No. '7
McKillop. He enjoys his Media

doesn't mind any of them too
' much. He's a member of the
Campus Book Club and still along
this line, one of his favourite
pas times is reading. Steven is
kept busy in his spare time
helping at home on the farm.
when asked his impression of
Seaforth, he was very optimistic
and stated it was a fun place.
Steven hopes to attend Gr. 13 and•
hopefully his opinion of SDHS
won't change before he's done.

ADVANCE POLL
IF YOUR NAME BEGINS WITH "M"
We have three men in our town
At euchre are the best.
Get on the phone or come on down
And they'll give you a test.
You'll wonder now just who they are
They're Jerry, Ron and Lou
If you are near or you are far
Come out we hope you do.
Just come on out they'll take you on
For an hour two or four
You will find they are the best
When you're walking out the door.
They met three boys last week
They played till one right on
You'll know the winners when I speak
T'was Jerry, Lou and Ron.
If your name begins with D or C
Then never play with them
Your chances won't be worth a D.
Unless your name begins with M.
To introduce our champs this week
We forgot to mention names
So thought this week we'd better speak
Of the boys who won the games.
There's Jerry who's a Looby man
Who builds the bridges fine
He comes to Dublin when he can
To play euchre and to dine.
If you have a table and a deck
You won't be needin more
If you .haven't got that, By Heck
He'll play them on the floor.
Next comes a husky man named Lou
The likes you've never seen
If, you ever think that he won't do
Just try his snacks and gasoline.
He holds the trophy in his store
One of the very best
To give it up Oh No, No More
Until he's laid to rest.
To a prosperous farmer north named Ron
On the pavement you niust, go • ti
Three blockes and then he's on
The road called Tally-Ho.
He's the best euchre player by the nrtne
He goes at it fairly Snappin
But how he wins near every game
You'd wonder how 'twould happen.
