by prayer by Mrs. McKaig; Of-

Mrs. Jim Miller. Roll call
"Love" was answered by nine
members. The Sec. and Treas.
reports were given. Members
are asked to bring used Christ-

Mission.

the local horticultural society
meets.
Annual membership fees vary
from $1 to $2. This permits
you to compete in flower showp,
attend meetings and participate
in the varied programs. It's
an ideal way to obtain firsthand
knowledge of gardening from ex-

community.

Morris Township Council met
Friday with all members present
and Reeve William Elston pre-
siding.
Wm. Coultes, Wm. Pullen and

Federation of Agriculture again
requested a grant or that the
levy be reimposed on the taxes
and on motion of James Mair
and Robert Grasby a grant of
$400 was given Morris Feder-
ation of Agriculture.
James Cardiff from Howick
Mutual Insurance Company was
present concerning insurance, on
the Mall and Shed and made
adjustments in the coverage on
each.
Membership fee to Ontario
Good Roads Association was paid
and a grant of $50. was given,
to the Huron Plowman's Associa-
tion.
Road Accounts paid totaled
$4,934.34 and General Accounts
$1,447.74 for a total of $6,382.08.

Conservation Authority for a pre-
liminary engineering study of the
Middle Maitland, Dam and Re-
servoir. ,
The study is to determine
size, type, location and opera-
tion.. A previous study proposed
a flood control darn upstream
of the Town of Listowel. The
present study will also identify
property requirements and indi-
cate other possible 'functions of
the dam and reservoir.
The Town of Listowel and the
Townships of Wallace, Mary-
borough, Elma, 'and Grey have
been designated as special benez-
fiting municipalities and as such
shall pay the major portion of
the Authority's share of the cost.
All member municipalities will
pay the remain ing portion of the
Atthority's share of the project.,
