United Church motored to London
Wednesday evening to the London
Theatre to see the performance
of "Boeing, Boeing", which was
much enjoyed. A bowling party
is in the plans for February.
• EUCHRE *PARTY
A successful euchfe, spon-
sored by the C.P. & T. Com-
mittee was held Thursday even-
ing in the LQ.O.F. Lodge rooms
in Hensall. With 10 ,tables in
play the winners were as
follows: Ladles high, Mrs. Annie
-""Finkbeiner, Zurich, Ladies low,
Mrs. Marg Ingram; Men's high,
Glen Bell; low, Les Gibson, Exe-
ter; most lone hands, Mary
Blackwell.
A draw for a large bag of
apples was won by Miss Olive
Spears, Cromarty, and a box
of chocolates was' won by Mrs.
Annie Finkbeiner, Zurich.
UNIT IV MEET
Unit IV of Hensall United
Church met Thursday afternoon
at the Church for the February
Meeting. Mrs. J. McAllister
presided and opened the meeting
with a thought from Romans 8:28.
Mrs. Leona Parke gave the de-
votional using Scripture from
Luke 16, and leaving everyone
with the questionable thought
"Who is the Lazarus among us"?
Mrs. Russell Erratt furthered
the study on India. The pro-
gramme was in charge of Mrs.
Gordon Love who read a poem ,
and introduced the members of
the family of success. Mrs.
Love assisted by Mrs. Arm-
strong and Mrs. McAllister read
a humorous dialogue based on the
T.V. show "All in the family".
It was reported that the members
were reminded of the World Day
of Prayer , to be held in the
Anglican Church on March 2.
W.M.S. MEET
The February meeting of the
Carmel Presbyterian Church
W.M.S. was held Monday after-
noon at the Church. President
Mrs. Rachel Schwalm opened the
meeting with a poem on Love.
The roll call was answered by
fourteen members with a verse
with the word Love in it. Mrs.
Rochus Faber and Mrs. R.A.
Orr were appointed delegates to
attend the Synodical being held
in Wingham on April 10, 11. Mrs.
MacDougall and Mrs. Ed Munn
were in charge bf the -program
and worship. Mrs. Munn read
scripture and offered prayer, and
Mrs. Dougall furthered the study
on India, and showed the set-
ting of a scene of what it would
be like in an Indian Church with
Incense burning and the open
Bible. She also demonstrated how
to, wear a sari, and said that
T.V. is in the near future for
India.
The Ladies Aid meeting-fol-
lowed when Mrs. Clarence Vol-
land presided, and Mrs. Harry
Snell acted as secretary.
Richard Gittus has -returned
to his home in Bridgeton, Mis-
souri, after spending the past
week with his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Thomas Gittus.
Mr. and Mr's. Fred Peters
returned Wednesday of last week
from a two week stay in Vic-
toria B.C. where they visited with
their son Tom and his family,
and also while there attended the
wedding of their grand daughter
Lynne.

Ontario, are finding acceptance
in Italy.

of Canada Ltd., will be partici-
pating in an Ontario sales oppor-
tunity mission to Milan, Feb. 2.
He will be among seven Ontario
businessmen taking part in the
mission, sponsored by the
Ministry of Industry and Tourism.
James A. MacRae, president
of Edwards-Day Ltd., will be
taking his firm's line of high
quality" gun cases. The firm
manufactures a wide range of
leather and vinyl goods, but Mr.
MacRae said he expects to have
the best luck with a line of
luxury leather gun cases.
John Howell, director of
export sales for John Labatt
Ltd., will be attempting to es-
tablish beer outlets aimed at
the 'tourist trade in Italy. After-
wards, he will be travelling to
Yugoslavia looking for a joint

two numbers entitled ""you must
open the door" and "No other
song". Mr . Beck chose to preach
on the sermon topic "Movrout
with God" and the choir rendered
the anthem "Praise the name of
the Lord". Mr. Beck at the
