In the semi-finals, the results 'were: B series: Mount Forest 2, Zurich 1 (with 10 minutes over- time and still tied, with a lucky goal shot giving the win to Mount Forest); Durham 6, Harriston 1. A series: Brussels 3, Sea- forth 2; Lucknow 5, Mitdhell, 4 (with 10 minutes overtime). Seaforth received 8 of the 14 penalties assessed in the closely contested game. Seaforth scored first at the 6:10 minute mark of the' first period when Barry Lane scored Beavers Sailors' tie 3.3 Seaforth Beavers andGoder- ich Sailors played to a three- three tie Tuesday evening at Seaforth Arena. Seaforth opened the scoring at the 6:45 mark of the firstperiod. Jack McLlwain fired the goal, assisted by Kei Doig and Bill McLaughlin. Goderich replied at the 1.4:21 mark when Tom Crawford scored assisted by Wayne Rau. In the second period Bob Beut- ' tenni iller scored at the 5:25 mark. assisted by Robbie Laurie. At the 6:40 mark Jim Hayter replied for Goderich assisted by Wayne Fisher and Ron Miller. In the third period Bill,Mc- Laughlin scored at the 4:21 mark for Seaforth with assists going to McLlwain and Ed. Dolmage. Art McDougall, scored for' the Sailor at the 8:07 mark assisted by Jim Hayter to round out the scoring. A total of 18 penalties were called with Seaforth receiving 11. Ken Doig received a total of four penalties including a game and match misconduct ,penalty. unassisted. Paul Ilulley then scored unassisted. Zurieh got one back then in the' second peri9d when Keys. scored from Mommersteeg. Seaforth then pushed the lead to two goals when Dwayne Cornish scored from BillO'Shea. Zurich then made the game close at 3 -.2 when McKinnon scored from Oke. Brian Dane finished out the scoring late in the final period, unassisted. Final Score 4 -2. NEXT REGULAR SEASON GAMES On Wednesday, January 31, Seaforth plays at home against Mitchell which should be a good match-up of the two rtvals.Game time - 8:30. CANCELLED GAME Due to the circumstances of the Mount Forest Hockey Tourna- ment and with the Seaforth at Goderich game the same day, the Goderich game was cancelled and .will be played at a later date. Dave Watson and Gary Mont, gomery led the Blues to their first win of the season on Sunday night as they edged the third place. Flyers 4 - 3. The win now gives the Blues three'-points, six behind the Flyers. Watson fired three of the four goalS while Montgomery turned in a .sparkling per- formance in goal, turning away several sure goals. Watson's three goals moves him into sole"possession of sec- ond place in the league scoring race with 16 points, one behind Steve Southgate of the Stars who was held pointless. Ken Mc- Llwain was the other marksman for the Blues who seem to be improving as the season goes on. " Bill Teall scored twice for the Flyers with Bill Price adding the other. A Novice Hockey Tourney was held Saturday, one of the special events in the Winter Carnival program in Seaforth over the weekend. Eight teams were entered, from Durham, Mount Forest, O.H.A.
