bute to Marjorie mentioning her '
quiet unassuming ma.,nner, which
was typical of her approach to
nursing 'problems no matter 'how
difficult. She was truly an
"angel of mercy';'. ,

half of 'the staff and presented
Marjorie with a gold upholstered
swivel -rocker. We 'wish her .
niany happy' years of retirement
•and hope sire will find use for,
these tokens of our deep res-
pect' and .appreciation. Marjorie
expressed her thanks in a few
words.
Lunch was served by Mrs.-
Hodgert and the kitchen staff.,
Mrs. Powell received her
training at Scott 'Memorial Hos-
pital, graduating In 1932. After
private nursing- locally and in
London,, she joined the staff ,
of Scott Memorial. When Miss
Thamer, who .1-1a(1 been doing
private duty, veiled the' Nursing
Home on Church St. in the forrner
home of Mr. Chas. Stewart Sr.,
Marjorie joined the .staff in 1956
and when Mr. and,Mrs. Wm. Hod-
gert took over in 1963 and called
the home ,Kilbarchan', Mrs.
Powell rem'alned On the staff as
a _valued 'member. We were
pleased Mrs. Grae McQuaig,.
' Marjorie's mother who has been •
-a resident !mere for some time,
was • able to, attend the party.
