in his 81st year. He is sur-
vived by his' widow, the former
Irene Walker and by daughters,

Abilene, Texass Mrs. Bruce
(Marjorie) Fisher, Mitchell,
Mrs. Donna Gaiser, Hyde Park.
He is also survived by five grand-

iation was received from Mrs. T.

It was decided to hold the
30th .anniversary of' the group on
May 6th with Dr.' D.Glenn Camp-
bell of London' as speaker. Mr.
Patterson told of a trip he and
Mrs. Patterson had taken to
Toronto when they visited the
home of Wm. Lyon McKenzie.

MRS. CLARE, BLANCHARD
Word was received of the
passing. in Windsor, Dee. '7, of
Mrs. Clare Blanchard in her
84th year. Burn Curdula Bur-
gard, her friends will remember
her• as !Curt' Burgard, She was
the daughter of Ferdinand Bur-
gard and Catherine MacKay. Her
sister, Mrs. Stanley Campbell
pf Dearborn, Mjchigan. the last
of the family. 'advised William
M. Hart of her sister's death.
' The Burgard name is well
known in. Egmondyille and sur-
rounding district. • Ferdinand
Burgard was the last owner of
the Egmondvmlle Pottery which
was a leading enterprise for more
than sixty years. Bill Hart
has been delving into the history
of the pottery and his writings
will appear as a series of ar-
ticles in the Expositor later this
year. He has spent considerable
time gathering facts ancrhiStory
'about the pottery, and the men
who. operated it. Ferdinand Bur-
gard, father of the late-Mrs.
Blanchard and Mrs. Stanley
:Campbell of Dearborn, M ichigan,
has often been referred to as
'Canada's Last, potter'.

chell, died in the Seaforth Com-
munity Hospital Saturday,
' Born in Fullarton Township,
he was the• son of the late Mr.
'and Mrs. John Klien. _ -
Surviving are his wife, the
former *Grace Speare;' a step-
son, Ross Mc-Lelland of Sarnia,
stepdaughters, Mrs. Elmer (Bar-
bara) Rivers of Seaforth, Mrs.

Mrs. Marion Blanche McKay
died' at Parkwood Hospital, Lon-
don; onSundaYDecember 24,1972.
Formerly of Broughdale Ave.,
London, she was her '74th
year and was the wife of the
late Robert McKay. She is sur-
vived by two sisters-in-law,
Mrs. Lorne Wilson, Brucejleld
and Mrs. Les McKay, Eimvale
and a brother-in-law, Ernest
Jackson, Exeter, and several
nieces and nephews.
She rested at the Harris
Funeral Home, London, where the'
funeral service was conducted by
' her-minister, Rev, Garth C. Nel-
son of Robinsorr, United Church,
on Wed.-Dec. 27.
Pall bearers were Kenneth
Jackson, Jas. Devereaux, Stuart
Wilson, Roy McGonigle, Walter
Bain and Charles Merrill.
Flower bearers were Robert An-
drews, Brian Wilson and Randy
Wilson. Interment was in Baird's
Cemetery, Brucefield.
