Zion Lutheran Church, Strat-
ford was the setting for the
marriage of Beverley Elizabeth
Sholdice and Allan Stanley
Wagner on November 18th at
4 b'clock with Rev. H. Gast-
meier officiating at the double
ring ceremony.
The. bride is the daughter of
Mr.. and Mrs. Russell Sholdice,
270 Mornington Street, Stratford
and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Wagner
304 Douglas Street, Stratford are
the parents of the groom.
The church was decorated
.with candelabra, mums in autumn
colors and bows of rust and white
on the pews.
The bride, given in marriage
by her parents, chose a flpor
length gown of white peau -de-sole
fashioned with empire waistline,
leg of mutton sleeves, chapel
train and double ruffle at hem-
line. The gown was enhanced with
beaded pearl drop trim. The
scoop neckline had an inset of
illusion sprinkled with tiny
pearls. ,;',Her four-tierred veil
was held by a headdress of ma-
terial—and trim matching the
gown, 'bowed to her waistline.
She carried a hand sheath of
• roses and mums in white with
a scattering of rust mums.
Mrs. Dale Robinson,,cousin
of the bride Stratford, was the
matron of honor and Miss Gail
Robbins, Stratford, Miss Lois
Davey, London, Miss Lori Wag-
ner,sister of the groom,Strat-
ford were the bridesmaids. They
were dressed alike in floor-
length , short sleeved, gowns
with rust bodice and beige skirt
in peasant style with braid trim
down the front of skirt and around
the ruffled hemline, and tie sash
at waistline. They wore dried
floyers in their hair arid carried
hand sheaths of autumn flowers.
Miss •Judy Sholdice, niece of
the bride, Waterloo was the
flower girl wearing a gown-
identical to those of the brides-
maids. 'Master Jeffrey Sholdice,
nephew of the bride, Mississauga
Ontario was the ringbearer.

Mr. David Wagner, brother
of the groom, Stratford, was
the groomsman and the guests
wer e ushered by Mr. Warren
Sholdice, brother of the bride,
Windsor, .Mr. Bill McGavin,
brother-in-law of .the groom,
Stratford and" Junior Usher,
Master Mark Wagner, Stratford,
brother of the groom. They were
dressed in brown tuxedos.
The organist, Miss Joanne
Elligsen, Walton, played for the
processional "Trumpet Tune"
and .for the recessional "Trumpet
Voluntary". She also accompan-
ied the soloist, Miss Margaret
Elligsen when she sang "Love
• Shall Abide"; "Lord's Prayer"
and "Wedding Prayer".
The dinner and reception was
held at the Legion Hall, Strat-
ford with the Royalaires provid-
ing the music for dancing. The
bride's mother received the
guests in a floor-length sleeve-
less 'gown of moss green polyes-
ter crepe, with beaded trim and
brown accessorieswith a corsage
of roses and mums in .autumn
colours. The groom's mother
assisted wearing a floor-length
gown ofegold Lama and polyes—
ter satin with short sleeves,
brown accessories and a corsage
similar to that of the bride's
mother.
For their wedding trip to
Toronto and eastern Ontario, the
bride travelled in a red plaid
blazer, black slacks and mat-
ching accessories. She wore
a white carnation.
The couple will ,reside at
R.13#7, St. Marys (Avonbank).
Guests were present from
New Jersey, Kalamazoo,Mich.,
Windsor, Mississauga, Weston,
Peterborough, Brampton, water-
loo, London, Thornhill, Brussels,
Walton, Seaforth, Mitchell, Mil-
verton, Brodhagen, St. Marys,
Tiverton, Shakespeare, Strat-
ford and surrounding district.

on December 5th at the Belgrave
Community Centre Room with
Reeve Pattison presiding and all
the members present.
Motions approved included:
- That the Council of the
Township of East Wawanosh en-
dorse the following resolution
resolving "that a letter be sent
by the local municipalities to the
Huron County Board of Educat-
ion asking that in the year 1973
there be two dates for payment
of rates, namely June 30 and
December 15"..
- That a livestock claim of
$125.00 be paid and that live-
stock valuer E. Snell, 'receive
$7.25 fees.
- That Election Expenses re
the Huron-Perth combined Se-
parate School Board be paid.
- That Road Accounts of
$2,155.88 and the General Ac-
counts -of $25,223.'2 of which
$17,902.50 is the School Deben-.
ture and recoverable, as pre-
sented be passed and paid.

The annual meeting of L.O.L,
1035 was held on Tuesday evening
of last week and was preceded
by supper served at the home of
Mrs. Ida McClinchey.
Following supper, members
returned to the lodge rooms when
two candidates were iniatated to
the Orange Degree. A committee
was formed to again operate the
skating rink during the coming
winter months.

the basement of the church
Thursday evening of last week,
Mrs. Gordon Hill led with
"Christmas Devotions" and the
Explorer girls sang a number.
Mrs. Wayne Taylor gave a
Christmas thought for the evening
followed by a prayer by Mrs.
Gordon Hill. The offering was
taken up by Mrs. Ronald Taylor
and dedicated by Mrs. G. Hill.
Mrs. Charles Reid gave a
reading "Christmas Eve in On-
tario" -by Harry J. Boyle and
the explorer group sang a
"Christmas Stocking Song",
Mrs. Ralph Stephenson pre-
sided during the business period
wheri it was decided to hold the
annual Christmas concert of the
Sunday School in the Township -
Hall on Thursday evening,
December 21st. The nominating
committee report was given by
Mrs. Bill Dowson.
Mrs. Gordon Hill introduced
Mrs. Corrie and Mrs. Bowker of
Clinton who shared their many
experiences in candle-making.
They gave pointers On moulds
wax, wicks and had a v.ery colour-
ful and interesting display of
candles which they had made.
Mrs. Bill Dawson extended a
vote of thanks for the demon-
stration. Mrs. Gordon Hill closed
the meeting with prayer.
