forth Beavers to a 4-2 win over
Meaford in a four point game at
Seaforth Arena Sunday afternoon.
McLaughlin scored once in the
second period and twice in the
third for his first bat trick of the
season.
Bob Beuttenmiller scored the
fourth Seaforth goal.
Randy Gallinger and Jim
Chapman scored the Meaford
goals.
Sam Brown of the Meaford
team was assessed a misconduct
-and a game misconduct at the
9:18 mark of the second period.
A total of 17 penalties, were
called and Seaforth was aeeassed
seven, all minors.
Ray Anstett is manager of the
Beavers and Jack McLlwain is
playing coach.

Members of —The Seaforth
Snowmobile Club and their guests
held a successful pot-luck supper
and dance Saturday night at the
Community centre. Following
the supper a short meeting.was
conducted by the president Glenn
Chesney, Secretary Joy Hopper
read an annual report on the
clubs activities, after which the
slate of officers for the coming
season was adopted as follows:

The Seaforth Midgets open-
ed the '12-73 season with a
474 victory over the Mitchell
Midge,ta, in a.. game played in
Milehell, on November 20.
Eighteen penalties were hand-
ed out in a heavily penalized
Vine, in which each team re-
ceived nine penalties.
In the first period Seaforth
opened the scoring with a goal
from Bill O'Shea assisted by
Dwayne Cornish and Paul Nut-
ley. Kevin Bennett scored Sea-
fOrth's second goal with the as:
sist goingeo Brian Murray. Sea-
forth's third goal was scored by
Brian Lane assisted by Gary
Phillips. Dave McClure made it
4-0 with Cornish picking up the
assist.
Mitchell opened scoring in
the second period with Torrance
scoring. Cornish replied for
Seaferth with assists going to
Lane an d Phillipe Mitchell's
second goal was scored by Dietz.
Mitchell opened the scoring in
• the third period with Dietz tally-
ing. Cornish replied for Seaforth
with his second goal of the night
unassisted. Cornish rounded out
the scoring with his third goal
with assists going to Lane and
Phillips. Final score Seaforth
7 and Mitchell 3.
Seaforth's next home game
will be Wed. November429 ag-
ainst Grand Bend.

lows by a score of 5-3 Saturday
morning.
Scoring for the Greens were;

PEE WEE
The Rangers and Canadians
played to' a 3-3 tie. Scoring for
the Rangers were John Deloyer,
Jim MeCreight and ElarryJadsen
, while Dennis Nielson, Paul Bob'
and Paul Carter replied for the

NOVICE
In the Novice, the Canadians
defeated the Bruins 6 - 1.
Steven Underwood scored
three goals for the Canadians,
his brother, Paul, scored twice
and Dave Crocker scored the
other Canadian goal.
Garry Bedard scored the Ione
Brian marker.
nealorth Beavers collected
their second straight win as they
skated to an easy"5 - 1 victory
over the Port Elgin Sunoco's last
Tuesday night. Pigging before a
small crowd of only about 50
people the Beavers outclassed

their opponents at every turn
in posting the victory. The first
period saw the Beavers casb in
on their first power play as they
scored with Lee Grant in the pen-
alty box. Ken Dolg scored with
Jack McLlwain drawing the
assist,Mcldwain then intercepted
a pass and scored unassisted at
the 11:21 mark to give the
Beavers a 2 - 0 lead. Ken Dag
picked up a five minute spearing
penalty at the 14:11 mark and the
Beavers allowed only two shots
on goal while playing short
handed. The locals out-shot
the visitors 14 to 9 in the first
period.
The second period was al-
most a replay of the first as
both teams received a minor
penalty but neither could capit-
alize with the -advantage. The
Beavers did, however, score
twice as McLaughlin scored at
the 4:54 mark with Doig and
McLlwain assisting. Then Bob
Beuttenmiller took a pas from
Terry Craig at the 15:20 mark
to -put the Beavers up 4 - 0.'
Again the Beavers outshot the
Sunoco's this time by a 14 -$
margin.
In the third period the Bea-
vers eased up momentarily to
allowRon Shell to steal thepuck
in their end zone to narrow the
gap to 4 - 1. Shell then re-
telved a tripping penalty and
he Beavers counted their second
power play goal as Paul Rau
scored with Rick lietnbuck and
Ross Davies drawing assists to
put the locals up 5 - 1. Both
teams continued to have scor-
ing chances but failed to con-
neet leaving the score unchanged
for the remainder of the game.,
Port Elgin drew three penalties
to Seaforth's one in the third
period and again the Beavers
outshot the Sunoco's by a 12
8 count.
The three Stars of the game
were No. 1 - Ken Doig of the
Beavers. No.2 •- Allen Carter,
,Seaforth. No. 3 - Ron Shell,
Port Elgin..
Seaforth's next two games
are away as they travel to
Goderich Friday night and to
Meaford on Sunday. The next
home game will be Tuesday,
November 28th with the Goder-
!eh Sailors providing the op-
position. 'This should prove in-
teresting as two former Seaforth
Beavers, Wayne Rau and Frank
Hagan are playing' for the
Sailors this season.

After two weees of play in
the Seaforth Industrial Hockey
League the Flyers hold down
first place withfour points based
on two wins and no losses. The
Kings and Stars are deadlocked
in second with a win and a loss
for two points apiece. The hard-
luck Blues are at the bottom of
the pack with no, wins and two
losses.
In the' 7:30 game on Sutiday
night the Stars came up with
their first win as they skated
to a 3-1 victory over the Kings.
Ron Beuerman (playing his
best game in some time) paced
the Stars attack by scoring once
and assisting on the other two.
All time scoring leader Don Hel-
ley and Steve Southgate had/the
other Stars goals.
Larry Broome spoiled Jerry
COoper's shutout bid with the
only goal of the -final period.
Nine penalties were called
in the fast skating game with
' the Kings taking five of them.
In the late contest the Flyers
scored two first period goals and
then had to look to goaltender
Gary Osborne, to help them come
oilt- with a well-earned 3-2 de-
cision over the Blues. The
