would be kept of receipts. An.
overhead door was to be in-
stalled at the back of the arena
at a cost not to exceed $400.00.

per week.
Councillor Bill Pinder for the
protection to persons and pro-
perty committee asked1that the
resignation of Bernie Jessome
from, the police auxiliary be ac-
cepted. He stated that he had
received a letter of resignation
from Chief Gordon Hulley which
his committee recommended be
accepted.
He made a recommendation
that a third probationary con-
stable be hired for the police
department and that council dis-
pence with the auxiliary.
At this time council decided
'to go into a committee of the
whole and asked the press along
with several spectators to leave
while the matter was discussed:-
When the press was again
allowed in the 'room it had been
decided by some means that the
hiring of the third man would
not be necessary until a new
chief had been appointed.
Council had recieved some
modifications to the official plan
from the ministry of municipal
affairs. These must be dealt
with and returned before ap-
proval of the plan can be ob-
tained. It was agreed ,that a
meeting be set up with the plan-
ning board as soon as possible
so that the recommendations
could be dealt with.
The meeting 'adjourned at

DllIKOLla - In loving memory of
a dear son and brother, Gordon,
who passed away suddenly Nov.
14, 1964 in his.22nd year.
In quiet thoughts we live again
The years that used to be;
So full of love and happiness,
You were always so carefree,
The kindness of your nature,
The sunshine of your smile,
Are the things we shall
remember,
And treasure all the while.

notified-., council that they would

month period providing there was

of fill.
Council received a three.year
lease on the bowling greens at
a yearly fee of $60.00. This
is up from $10.00 per year.
Council felt this increase of
$50.00 seemed rather steep. It
was agreed a letter be sent to
the C.N.R. asking if the pro-
perty could be purchased and
what the price would be. ,
Councillor Betty Cardno re-
porting for the recreation com-
mittee complained that adult
skating time ,is not being made
available.
Replying arena • committee
chairman Dave Tremeer said that
when all the hockey schedules
were in, an arena schedule could
be fli-en drawn up and adult skat-
ing time could be worked in.
Councillor Cardno felt that
the arena should be available
for more than hockey. ,
In replying Councillor Tre-
meer stated that adult skating
was held last year and the big-
gest day had produced $8.00 in
revenue.
• Councillor Ron maEbonald"
