. A social evening was held in
the Walton Community Hail on
Tuesday evening, September 26th
to honor Mr.. and Mrs, Doug.
Ennis on their departure from the
Village a few- weeks ago after
selling their buSinese to Mr. and

consisted of a duet by Jeanne
McDonald and Cathy McGavin
with Mrs.N. IVIcGavin as pianist.
Mrs. E. Mitchell and Mrs. N.
McGavin put on a comic dialogue
followed by Mrs. McGavin giv-
ing a telephone conversation.
The rest of the evening was
spent in playing euchre with 24
tables in play. Prizes were
given to: High Lady - Mrs. Bob
McMichael; Low Lady - Mrs.
Jean Miller; Men's High -Elmer
Dennis; Men's Low K Ernest
Uhler; Lucky Cup - Bill Thamer.

THE WORK OF THE CHURCH
Communion Service was held
at Duff's United Church on Sunday
morning with the minister Rev.
Derwyn Docken in charge. Serv-
ing communion were Emmerson
Mitchell; Roy Williamson; Fred
Dunk; Harvey Craig; Mac Shol-
diCe; Ken McDonald and Harvey
McClure.
Next week is to be Thanks-
giving Sunday. Baptism will be
postponed to Sunday, October 22.
Mission Band will meet on Sun-
day October 15. The nursery
school is under -the leadership
of leaders Sunday morning at
11:45 a.m. The • U.C.W. are
packing a bale, articles, are to
be left in the church basement
by October 15th.

arm following a car accident

Ottawa where they visited Upper
Canada Village and on their
return home they toured he
science building in Toronto.
