and friends enjoyed a tour of
the Colasanti!s Tropical Green-
House and Heinz factory. Din-
ner was at the Auto Stop. A
tour _of Olmstead Fisheries had
been planned but due to an acc-
ident no tours Were permitted.
Members were disappointed when
they did not get a tour of .the
Agriculture Research Station at
Harrow. Habkirk" Transit was
in charge of arrangements. The
suggestion for next year's bus
trip was Buffalo.
Congratulations are in order
for Mr.' and Mrs. Ken Gemmell
on the safe arrival of a baby
boy in Victoria Hospital, Lon-
don and also for Mr. and Mrs.
Robt. Gemmell for their first
grandchild.
Mr. and Mrs. ,Robt. -Mc-
Gregor are touring the British
Isles.
Mr.' and Mrs. Wilfrid Meths

vided the setting for the marriage
of Christine Turnbull and Donald
Murray on June 24, 1972. Rev.
M.E.Reuber and Rev.. Father
Costello of Windsor officiated
ft& the double-ring ceremony..
Parents of the couple are
Dr. and Mrs. John Turnbull,
Seaforth and Mr. and Mrs. Mar-
tin Murray, Dublin.
The organist was Miss Mar-
jorie Papple. Mr. Brian Melady
and Mr. Tom Burke sang "The
Wedding"r, "Joy is Like The
Rain" and "They Know We. Are
Christians by Our Love." They
accompanied themselves on their
guitars. • The bride,„giyen in marriage
by her father wore a gown of
flocked organza over ivory ta-
fetta. The sleeves were long
banded with a deep French cuff.
The skirt was softly hemmed
with a wide flounce. Reminis-
cent., of the Gibson girl era, the
bride chose an ivory' straw hat,
completed with silk flowers and

champagne silk illusion flowing
down the back. She carried a
tiny bouquet of bronze daiiies
and orange roses.
Miss Cindy Eisler was maid
of honour. Bridesmaids were
Mrs. Janet Papple 'and Miss
Marlene 'Turnbull, sisters of the
bride,Miss Karen Henderson, and
Miss Gwen McLean, Their Swiss,
dot voile dresses were green,
blue, peach' and yellow respec-
tively. These dresses featured
an ankle length flounce and ruf-
fled bib. They carried miniature
bouquets'of white daisies.
Mr. Ken Flanagan was
groomsman. :Mr. Wayne Scott
and Mr. Dennis Murray ushered
the guests.
A reception was held at the
Seaforth Golf and Country.Club.
The couple will 'reside in
London. • •

bride was honoured by showers
at the home of MrS. John Lan-
sink and Miss Cindy •Eisler.

and usher was Ken Semple:
Following the wedding, .a rec-
eptibn was held in Blyth.Memorial
Ball. Guests were received-
the bride's mother .wearing a
purple and white doubleknit dress
and jacket ensemble. She wore a
-rsage of yellow roses and white
stephanotis. She was assisted
by the groom's mother, wearing
a beige dress'and coat ensemble.
She wore a corsage of pink car-
nations and White stephanotis.
For travelling, the bride
chose a mauve lloubleknit halter
dress with•matching accessories
and a corsage of white stephan-
otis'. After returning from a trip
to Northern Ontario the couple
will reside in Stratford.
Prior to her wedding, the
bride was honored with a com-
munity shower held at the home
of Mrs. Ken Taylor and a family
shower held at the home of Mrs.
Albert Hutton, Listowel.

marriage by Rev. Donald Beck,
assisted by Rev. Murdock Mbr-
rison, amidst a setting of hot
pink and white baby carnations
and gladiolii entwined in white
candelabra. • The marriage took
place in Varna United Church
on .June 24, 1972 at 3 o'clock.

soloist, Mr. Peter Poktill sang

The bride, given in marriage
by her father, wore a floor-length
gown of sata peau and Venese
lace styled in bell silhouette, high
neckline, long cuffed puff sleeves,
fitted bodice and full, gathered
skirt. The matching french illu-
sfon veil far:length-
cathedral train and was held in
place by a Juliette cap. She
carried a bouquet of hot pink
and white baby carnations, roses
and trailing ivy.
•Mrs. Lyle Urquhart was mat-
- ron of honor for her sister.
Bridesmaids were Miss, Debbie
Bylsma of Clinton, Miss Jenny
Stevenson of London, Miss Jenny
Bylsma of Clinton and Miss Anne
Hayter of RR 1, Varna. They
I wore alternating pink and white
flowered dresses of Polyester
and voille trimmed With hot pink
Velvet ribbon. They wore white
picture hats trimmed with . hot
pink velvet ribbon and carried
white baskets of hot pink and
white baby mums.

of white and lilac 'tinted baby
carnations. • •
A dinner was held in the
church basement following the
ceremony where Mr. Donald Dale,
King City, uncle of the . bride,
was the master of ceremony. A
reception followed the dinner in
the • Zurich Community Centre.
Guests were present from
Kenora, Seaforth, _King City,
Thornbury, Clinton liensall,
Biyth, Aubttrnt-Palderston;-Bel---
grave, London, Varna and North
Dakota.
The couple will reside in
Blyth.'

Catholic Church on Saturday,
June 24th for the wedding of Miss
Margaret Rose Ryan, of Water-
loo, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

ed the double ring ceremony, and
sang the .nuptual mass. The bride
given in marriage by her father
and mother, wore a peau
"sole wedding' dress with a chiff-
on overlay and featuring a touch,
of yellow satin ribbon inter-
lacing with lace which edged
the gown. Her full length veil
was trimmed with yellow satin
ribbon interlacing with lace. She
carried yellow crysanthemums
with yellow ribbon.
The maid of honor was Miss
Mary Beuermann of Hamilton
who was dressed,In , t manye
gingham gown with• chiffon
sleeves and apron. 'She wore
a wide brimmed. hat, .trimmed
in matching gingham. The brid-
esmaids were Miss Laura Ryan
Kitchener, Miss. Pat Ryan,

They were dressed similarly'
to the maid of honoy, in col-
ours of blue, green and orange.
All wore matching chokers. Each
carried a bouquet of white cry-

The Wallace Family Picnic
Lovely summer weather pre-
vailed on Saturday July. 1, 1972
' as members of the Wallace fam:-
ily gathered on tile lawn of Mr.
and Mrs. Russell Miller for th-
eir annual reunion. Between fifty
and sixty people attended
throUghout the day and both dinn-
er and supper were enjoyed by
all. The oldest member was
Mona Caldwell and the young-
est Miss Shelly Stone daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Welby Stone.
The closest birthday prize was
shared by Mary Lou JustaSon
and Sib Miller who both had
birthdays the following day.
Both young and old participated
in the races and games organ-
ized by Ruth Yeandle and Hea-
ther Wallace and there was a
candy scramble far the child-
ren.

The 1972 Williamson family
reunion was held Sunday at Sea-
forth Lions Park ' with thirty
six in attendence. Silver dollars
were given to 'seven new babies
