The second meeting of Staffa
01 4-H Garden Club was high-
lig:tted by a visit to '•Exeter
Flowers" when Ben Hoogenboom
gave a very informative talk and
tour about his shrubs and flowers.
He outlined the fact that with
proper planning, it's possible to
have a continuous show of colour,
from early spring until late fall.
The business meeting was
held later at the leaders home.;
The roll call was answered by
''flowers I plan to plant". Spen-
cer .Jeffery discussed Preparat-
ion of the Soil, Planting the
Garden, Care of the Garden,
Home Surrountdings and Flowers.
The girls discussed with ,their
leaders the vegetable and flower
seeds they had purchased.
MiSs 'Judy Jeffery has been
Informed by Miss Jo Anne Hen-
derson, Home Economist, for
Perth County, that she has been
selected as one 'of seven dele-
gates froM Perth County to
attend "Girls' Conference at the
University of Guelph" from July
