Mrs. John L. Bennewles, a
former resident of Brodhagen,
passed away on Sunday in Tec.
umseh Nursing Home, Windsor.
She was the former Louisa
,Ahrens and she was. born on
January 3, 1882. On August 19,
le '1904, she was married to John
L. Bennewies, who predeceased
her on January 30, 1960.
She was a member of St.
Peter's Lutheran Church, Brod-
hagen. Surviving are four' sons,
Clarence, Mitchell; Irvin, Wood-
stock; Edwin, Seaforth; and
Glenn, Windsor; four daughters,
Lorena, Mrs. Fred Scherbarth
and. Ella, Mrs. Ernie Hartja,
,Detroit; Evelyn, WS. Elwood
Smart, Windsor.; and- SYliria;
Mrs. Peter Trails, Ruthven; 21
grandchildren, 41 great-grand-
childrenr 'one brother, .Edward
Ahrens, and one sister, Ida, Mrs.
Albert Wolfe, Mitchell.
The body rested at the Morris
funeral home, Windsor, with a
funeral service Sunday evening
at 7:30 with Rev. Gottfreid Al-
berti of Detroit officiating, thence
to the Heath -Leslie funeral home,
Mitchell until Tuesday noon when
removal was made to St. Peter's
Lutheran Church, Brodhagen for
the funeral, service at 2:30 p.m.
Rev. Gottfried Alberti of Detroit
officiated, assisted by Rev.
Arthur Horst of St.Peter's Luth-
eran Church, Brodhagen. The
pallbearers were Ralph and Keith
Beimewies, Seaforth; Earl and
Kenneth Scherbarth, Detroit,
Dennis Smart and Raymond
Kruse, Windsor. The members
of the Ladies Aid, of which Mrs.
Bennewles was a Charter Mem-
ber, formed a guard of honor as
the casket was being carried from
the church. Interment was in the
adjoining cemetery.
Friends and relatives at-
tended from Detroit, Windsor,
Kitchener, Ruthven, London, Sea-
forth, Dashwood, Mitchell, Brod-
hagen and surrounding district.

MRS. DAVID EIZERMAN
Mrs. David Eizerman died
in the Hillside Nursing Home;-`"
RR 5, Stratford on Thursday.
She was the former Annie Sad-
a
ler of Staffa and had resided in
Mitchell since her marriage in
1911. She was a daughter of the,
late Mr. and Mrs. John Sadler,
Staffa, and was born' in Staffa
on April 7, 1883.
She was a member of Trinity
Anglican Church and was an act-
ive member. of the Women's 0 rg-
anizations of the church. Her
husband died in 1957.
Surviving are one son ;Wil-
mer and one daughter, Evelyn,
both at home. The body rested at
the Heath-Leslie Funeral Home,

fireworks on a street or in a public area within the
Town 'of Seaforth.
Should a fire result at any time, and it is necessary to turn in an
alarm, Phone 527-1100, and advise location and details of the fire.
It 'has been noted that children gather near the Fire Hall when
an alarm is sounded. To avoid accidents, please warn your child-
ren to stay clear of fire hall doors and truck route.

Mitchell, where the funeral ser-
vice wets held on Saturday at
4:00 o'clock. Rev., W. H. Daunt,
Rector of Trititly Anglican
Church officiated. The pall-
bearers were Lewis Reaney,
James Mabb, Walter Klein, John
Sadler and Charles Robertson of
Mitchell and Angus Earl of Gran-
ton. Interment was in Trinity
Anglican Cemetery, Mitchell.
Friends and relatives at-
tended form Kitchener, Toronto,
Staffa, Granton, Mitchell and dis-
trict.

Norman Bennewles, '70, of
Brodhagen, died at the Seaforth
Coin raunIty_Hospital Wednesday,,,
He was a member of St. Peter's
Lutheran Church and former
member of the church council
and school board in Brodhagen.
He is survived by his wife,
the former Adeline Messersch-
midt; sons, Willard of McK11-
lop, Tewnship,_ Earl a Logan,
Raymond of London; daughter,
Mrs. Wilfred (Jean) Drager of
McKillop Township, Mrs. Roy

sixteen members of the family
of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Clark,
nee Kate Davis of Mitchell took
them out for a smorgasbord din-
ner at the Berkley Tavern, Kit-
chener in honor of their fifty-
fifth wedding anniversary.
Those present were Mr. and
Mrs. Frank Clarke, Kitchener,
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Clark, New
Hamburg, Mr. and Mrs. Donald
(Ruth) Wagner, Kitchener, Mr.
and. Mrs. Mose (Margaret) Leis,
Wellesley, Mr. and Mrs. John
Clark, Mitchell, Mr.. and Mrs.
itonald (Nancy) Law , Richmond
Hill, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley (Mary)
Mulford, Stratford, Mr. and Mrs.

After supper, everyone re-
turned to the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Wagner where several
grandchildren and great-gran d -
children called to offer their
congratulations.
Those of the immediate fam-
ily unable to attend the cele-
bration were •Mr. and Mrs. Alf-
(Elaine) Bossence, 1601. Blake
St., Cheryl at home; a rother,
Louis of Bredbagen,sisters, Mrs.
George (Emma) Eleirmeyer, Mrs.
George David (Melinda) Eick-
meyer, both of Mitchell; 11
grandchildren.
The late Normap H. Benne-
wies rested at the Heath-Leslie
funeral home, Mitchell uptil noon
on Saturday, May 13, when
removal was made to St. Peter's
Lutheran Church, Brodhagen for
funeral seral service at 2:30
p.m. where Rev. Arthur Horst,
minister of the church officia-
ted. The choir was ,in attendance
and sang aLe_e..d. Thou Me On".
Three grandchildren were

Six neighbours acted as bear-
ers, Armand La Gras, Gordon
Miller, Irvin. Leonhardt, Derk
Brink, Mervyn Hodgert and Aug-
ust Scherbarth, Interment in the
adjoining cemetery. Friencia and
-relatives attended- from Galt, •
Detroit, London, Exeter, Sea-
forth, Stratford, Mitchell, Brod-
hagen and surrounding district.

bers of Trinity Anglican Church
Mitchell.
During the afternoon the same
day, Mrs. Gary Sholdice hon-
oured Miss Lynette Wagner, only
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald
Wagner with a bridal shower'.
The wedding of Lynette Wagner
to Douglas Kargas will take place
on June 1'7 in Kitchener.
