gular meeting of Hullett Council
held in the Londesboro Com-
munity Hall on May 1st included:

$350.90 and $4,415.00 respect-
ively.

The dinner was held at the

ing at the Brussels Legion Hall.

There was a large attend-
ance at the annual dinner meet-
ing of the Huron-Perth TB and
Respiratory Disease Association
in Egmondville United Church on
Wednesday evening.
The meeting-featured reports
11/ from chairmen of the association
atandinrahimittees and an.ad-
dress by Dr. Owen Clarke, med-
ical director of the Beck Chest
Diseases Unit of LOndon, who dis-
cussed the facilities and future
plans of the unit.
In his report Ivan Forsyth
°of Klippen who was chairman for
the meeting said that more than
300 persons in the area were
assisted in a direct way during
the year. In addition he said
the entire community benefitted
indirectly. He expressed appre-
ciation for• the cooperation.of the *public which had made the work
possible.

presented Lloyd Dodgson by a
past president, Mrs. Edith Bro-
thers, in recognition of his con-
tribution.

Tillsonburg defeated St. Col-
umban 3' - 1 in the opening soc-
cer game of the season played in
Tillsonburg on Sunday. 'Nilson-
burg scored 2 goals in the first
half and came back early in the
second firing their third goal
past St. Columbanle-new goalie-,
Tom 'Murray. As the game pro-
gressed Tom Love gave St. Col-
umban their only goal of the gaine.
The home town team is being
coached this, year by ' Paul
O'Reilly and Brian Melady.;
The line-up includes' Brian
Melady, Tom Melady, Murray
McClure, Mike McClure, Tom,
Love, Larry Martin, John Gotts-
chalk, Paul O'Reilly, Tom Burke,
Larry Kale.
This year there will be some
new faces, Ralph Gottschalk,
Garry Bennett, Harold Ressling-
hause, Danny 'Murray and 'Torn
Murray playing goal. The sec-
ond game of the season will be
played • Saturday afternoon- in
Stratford.
• Home games this year will be
played in Seaforth on Sunday
afternoon giving fans a better
opportunity to support the team.

'Andrew's United Church,
Chatham, for the ceremony unit-
ing in marriage Linda Marie
Braithwaite, Chatham and Robert
Neil Gemmell, London, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Gemmell,
R.R.#2, KiPpen. Rev. Dr. Allan
Churchill officiated at the double-
ring ceremony on April 8th, 1972.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father' wore a gown of
white lagoda with high ruffled
neckline and scoop yoke of lace
which also -highlighted the deep
cuffed sleeves and hemline. A
lagoda ruffle fell from the hem
and formed a chapel train at the
back. Her three-quarter-length
veil was held by a Juliette cap
also edged with ruffled lace and
she carried pink rosebuds 'sur-
rounded by white carnations.
Miss Barbara Gemmell,
-sister of the groom, was maid of
honour. Bridesmaids were Miss
Delbie Swan, cousin of the bride.
an Miss Cindy Lee Braithwaite,
, sister, of the bride. They wore
.lour-length gowns fashioned with
white bodices and deep-cuffed
long sleeves with skirts of pink,
white and blue floral sheer over
white. Each wore a pink bow
headdress and carriedwhitebas-
kets containing pink, white and
blue carnations and muftis.

,„Ottawa, brother of the bride, was
groomSroan and ushering the
guests were Mr. Matthew Haney,
Seaforth, cousin of the groom,
and Mr. Bryan Braithwaite,
brother of the bride. ,The groom
and his attendants all wore light
blue dinner jackets with black
trousers.
The reception was held in
Moose Hall; Chatham, where the
bride's mother received guests in
a floor-length gown of white and
silver lurex polyester- and a cor-

length gown of blue lace-like
polyester and a corsage of pink

couple will take up reeidence in

Unit Meets
Unit 1, Northside Church, met,
at the home of Mrs. Walden on
May 2 with an attendance of
twenty-four.
In the' absence of the pres-
ident the first vice, Mrs. Mc-
Kenzie, chaired the meeting and
read a poem. A bale is to be
packed by May 20. B. R. Heath
from the Children's Aid is to.
be the speaker at the General
Meeting May 23rd. minute's
silence was observed in memory;
of Mrs. Jim Kerr. Mrs. Dal-
rymple and Ruth Cluff had charge
of the program.
The scripture was read by
Ruth Cluff and Mary, Dalrymple
led in prayer. Mrs. William Ball
the guest speaker, spoke on
Africa.

day afternoon with 21 members
and one visitor present. Mrs.
Ed Bell opened the meeting with
a reading "Spring". Beryl Reid
read the Scripture Psalm 125,
and Muriel Bell led in prayer.
Mrs. Ed. Bell conducted the
business. Roll call was answered
by a Bible verse.' The treas-
