tended the Clinton Area Achieve-
ment Day in Clinton Central
Huron Secondary School on Sat-
urday. Clubs presented a Fashion
Show and exhibits, eighteen clubs
took part. Miss Catharine Hunt,
Home Economist, Clinton was
master of ceremonies for the
day's activities and was assisted
by Miss Jean Scott, Supervisor,
Junior Extension, Toronto and
Mrs. Shirley McAllister, Home
Economist, Zurith.

In Hibbert Township. Mr. Aikens
is the son of the late Mr. and
Mrs. James Aikens (Alice
Forbes) and was born in Logan
Township..
On April 25, 191'7 they were
married at the then' Methodist
Parsonage by the minister Rev.
W. E. Darling. After their mar-
riage they farmed at Lot 29,
Concession 1, Logan Township
for thirty-one years, retiring
to Mitchell in 1948. They have
two, sons, Clifford, RR 1, Ful-
larton Township and Gordon, RR
3, Mitchell, two daughters, Mrs.
George (Marie) Chowen, Mitchell
and Mrs. Harold (11a) Eickmeyer,
RR 4, Mitchell, seven grand-
children and seven great grand-
children.
Mrs. ,Aikens has one brother
Dr. Norman Mahaffy, Saskatche-
wan, and Mr. Aikens has two
brothers, Rueben, RR 1, Dublin
and Norman of Stratford, one
sister, Mrs. Andrew (Myrtle)

was their fifty-fifth anniversary.
Mrs. Aikens was the former
¤ Alice Mahaffy, daughter of the
late Mr. and' Mrs. William Ma-
haffy (Annie Kane) and was born
