William Blair of 185 Linwood
London, formerly of Eginond-
vine, died in St. Joseph's Hospit-
al, London, Monday, following a
brief illness,
Born in Innerkip, a son of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Blair,
he was a First World War veter-
an, and farmed in the Innerkip
area.
Mr. Blair married the form-
er Elizabeth Corbett Grumrnett '
of Innerkip in 1957.
Surviving besides his wife,
are sons patrick-Blair, of Lon-
don; William Grummett of
Brampton, George Grummett of
Mrs. George Hoegy, a8, Spar"

She was the ,former Lydia
Regele of McKillop Township,
the widow of the late Mr. Hoegy
whom she married in 1906.

three grandchildren; fide great-
grandchildren.
The body was at the R.S. Box
funeral home, Seaforth, where
the funeral service was held Sat-
urday at 2 p.m. 'with Rev. M.
E.Reeber officiating. Burial was
in Zion United Church cemetery
in McKillop Township.

The last meeting of the Dublin
Colleens was held at the home of
Mrs. Bob Crsniri an March 29:
The roll call was, "How did We
Improve Our Bedrooms." De-
laine O'Rourke gave the secre-
tary's report and Mrs. Cronin
gave the treasurer's report. Mrs.
C. Friend talked about notes,
what should be in the record
books. She went through -the
member's pamphlet to make sure
everything was answered. She
also talked about covers and
checked some projects.
The last of eight meetings of
the Dublin Colleens No. 2 was
held March 28 at the home of
Mrs. David Brown. " The meet-
ing was opened by the president
with the roll call, !How did you
improve your Bedroom". The
girls evaluated each others waste
paper basket and lamp shades
and told what they thought of the
club. Achievement day was talked
over and plans made. Another
extra meeting has been planned
in order to work on posters
,Lench was served, by
Susan Maloney and Angelina Arts.

most interesting and informative
talk on her experiences during

and gave some helpful sugges-
tions on the convenerships and
their various, duties.o She was
thanked by Mrs. John Maloney
and presented with a gift.

sented the 'slate of officers as
folloWs and they were installed
by Rev. Fr. Mohan. President,
Mrs. Al Smale; Spiritual Dir-
ector, Rev. Fr. Laragh; Past

Plans for League Day for
April 23rd were discussed. The
Clothing Drive for St. Vincent
de Paul will be the first Sunday
of May. The Visiting Commit-
tee for April is Mrs. Jim Slat-
tery and Mrs. Jos., McConnell.
The mystery prize was won by
Mrs. Tom Morris. The meet-
ing ended with prayer.

Osborn St ,Clinton, died in Sea-
forth Community Hospital
Saturday after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Hullett Town-
ship, a son of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Henry Colclough. He
attended school at Kinburn and
then farmed in Hullett Township
until his retirement to Clinton in
1965. He was a member of North-
.side United Church, Seaforth.

survives.

beth Van Der Zon, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Van.Der Zon,
Seaforth, and Mr. Don Kraus -1,
kOpf, son of Mr. and. Mrs. James
Krauskopf, RR 2, Dublin, with
Father Laragh officiating at the
double-ring ceremony on March
25th at 3 P.M. The Church was
decorated with L-shaped gladioli
and red roses.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, looked stunning
in her floor-length wedding gown
of white silk organza.The bodice
with the empire waistline + was
accented by a high stand-up collar
and full wrist-length Juliet
sleeves which were trimmed with
the exquisite white Chantilly lace.

A well known Stanley Town-
ship resident, Orval McClinchey
* R.R.I, Varna, died in South Huron
Hospital, Exeter, on Saturday.
He was '73.
Born In Stanley, he was a son
of the late Mr-and Mrs. David
John McClinchey.
He is survived by his widow
the former Irene Scheibe to whom

and by two "'daughters, Doreen,
Mrs. Glenn Webb, Dashwood, and
Donna JoYbe, Mrs. Herbert
Klopp, Zurich and by sisters,

Mr. McClinchey was a
member of St. Peter's Lutheran

bridal outfit, the bride wore a
Suliet cap of Chantilly lace caught
up by a' cathedral-length veil
which was also trimmed' with
Chantilly lace. The bridal bou-
quet consisted of heart-shaped
carnations surrounded by red
roses.
The Maid of Honour, Mrs.
Tom Schoonderwoord of RR 3,
Mitchell, sister of the Bride,
and the , Bridesmaid, Miss Rita
Van Dooren, Seaforth, compli-
mented the bride in 'their floor-
length gowns of purple chiffon.
The bodice with' empire 'waist-
line was accented by a high collar
and full wrist-length Juliet
sleeves which was trimmed with
white Swiss Guipure lace. The
A-line skirt formed its own sheer
overskirt 'and was also trimmed
with the same elegant white lace.
They wore white daisies in their
hair and carried a bouquet- of
the same flower.

Group
Harold Coleman presided at a
meeting of the Fireside group
of First Presbyterian Church.

Millson Draftiage Works was

The Clerk presented a pro-
,posed Budget for 1972 keeping
the Mill Rates the same as
last year and this was to be
deal% with at the April meet-
ing when rates of, 28 mills
residential, and 31 mills com-
mercial were adopted.
Two tenders for road
gravel were . received - one
from Joe .Kerr Ltd., at $1.08
per yd., and one frbm George
Radford Construction Ltd., at
$1.03 per yd and the Rad-
ford tender was accepted. ,
Council issued a Build-
ing Permit to E. Szusz for
an addition to a barn, and
a. manure, tank (underground);
and to A. Finch for a house
and foundation at Lot 19, Con.
The Clerk was. instructed
to apply for an additional
$80,400.00 subsidy for bridge'
construction at Lots 30-31,

MORRIS COUNCIL
Morris Council has agreed to
assist with improvements being
undertaken • in the Belgrave Hall
by the women's Institute.
Mrs. Stan Hopper represent-
ing Belgrave w.I. approached,
council, at its April meeting and
council approved a grant of
$250,00, Reeve Wm. Elstonpre-
sided.
Council endorsed details of
a new agreement worked out
with Grey and McKillop for the
joint use of a waste disposal
site. The waste disposal site
ts-un- the farm of Harold Mc-
Callum, R.R.I, Walton, who re- -
ceives an increase from $75
to •'$300 for the year. Grey and
McKillop each gay 45 per cent
of the costs and Morris 10 per
cent. Last year's expenses to-
talled $1,800.

JOHN T. RYAN
John T. Ryan died suddenly,
at his home on George Street,
Seafoith, on Tuesday. He was
67.
The son of the late Thomas
Ryan and Elizabeth IVIcIllhargey,
he was born in Hibbert Towship
and attended Dublin School.
