(Staff Photo) 14 1 WI hears of Russian trip ii I The Dublin Women's institute met at the home of Mrs. Joe Cronin with Mrs. George Coville as' hostess. The roll 'call was payment of fees and suggestions for '75th Anniversary of Women's Institute. 13 members wereprr- sent along with 12 visitors and 4 new ladies who joined the In- stitute. Mr. C. Friend, President, opened the meeting and Mrs. J. Statton, secretary read the minutes. Mrs, ,A. Burchill gave the treasurer's report. The cancer kits were .dis- tributed by Mrs. C. Friend and the meeting was then turned over to Mrs. W. Annis for the topic on Health. She introduced Mrs. D. Schenk from Seaforth who spoke on 'respiratory diseases and T.B. and who also attended the convention in Moscow where 8'9 countries were represented and. 25 languages spoken. She told of her trip from Toronto to New York to Amsterdam and the experiences she encountered. Mrs. Schenk spoke on such dis- eases as asthma, oonchitis and emPhazema and showed the films she took. Mrs. .N. McKay thanked Mrs. Schenk for her, interesting talk and pictures and presented her with a gift. The ladies discussed briefly the next 4-H Club'which is to be Home Beautification and garden- ing with Mrs. C. ,Friend and Mrs. J. Burchill as the leaders. The next' meeting is to be held On April 25 at the.home of Mrs. J. Dorsey. Lurich was served by Mrs. N. McKay and Mrs. ' C. Friend. -.Courtesy remarks were made by Mrs. A. James were visiting during the Easter holidays with Mr. and Mrs. Fred James and family at Richmond, Virginia. Mrs. J. James is now visiting relatives in London. The regular Boy Scout meet- ing was held Tuesday night in Egmondville United Church.
