first meeting of the year at they
home of Mrs. Ailae Campbell
with Mrs. Bill Dolmage the new
president for the coming year.,
presiding and opened the meeting
with a poem entitled "The'First
Snow Fall." 'Minutes were read
• by ,Mrs. Ken .Thompson and the
financial report was given by
Mrs. Bob Dalton. Africa 'will be
the new Study Book. The next
meeting will be held at the home
of Mrs. Frank Riley, the first
Tuesday in February. Mrs. Ken
Thompson read the scripture,
taken fro'm the AD psalm. Mrs.
Bill Dolmage had the topic on
"Christianity Going to Africa."

Erlin Whitmore will represent
the Seaforth branch at the 75th,
W.I.O. anniversary dinner party ,
to be held in the Canadian Room,
Royal York Hotel, Toronto en
February 12th and are available
for loather menefers who might
wish' to attend. It is hoped to
again -have a contestant from the -
branch in the Farm Princess
contest at . the Farm Show in
London. --
Training school fOrtheSpring
4-41 project "Sleep Wear" will be
held on Januar), 31 and February
1 'when it is hoped thirteen clubs
will be sponsored by the branch.
Four 'leaders are still needed and
anyone interested is urged to
contact Mrs. Erne Whitmore by
Saturday of this week.

The monthly meeting of the
Mission Band was held on Sun-
day morning in the basement of
the church with -an attendance
of 36. Doug Mitchell opened with
the Call to Worship. Hymn 641
Was sung with' Debbie Van Vliet
-at the piano. The secretary's
report was given by Joyce Mc-
Callum and Patti McDonald gave
the treasurer's report followed
by taking the collection which
was dedicated by Doug Mitchell.
Janis Van ,Vliet played the piano
for Hymn 587, The children went
to their classes with -the follow-
ing teecliers in charge, Mrs.
Ross Bennet, Mrs. MertonHack-
well, Mrs. Wm. Roe and Mrs,
Mac Sholdice , assisted by Dena

Dolmage closed, the meeting with
prayer. Lunch was served by the
hostess assisted by Mrs. Frank
