Lions president, Adam Flow- ers, led the parade on his palo- mino, "Sunny", closely follow- ed by a car containing the vil- lage trustees. Clergy Unite Another car bearing a poster which read: "Go to the Chur- ch of your choice", carried min- isters of the Anglican, Roman Catholic and United Churches. Fred Mote's steam engine was again prominent and de- lighted both young and old with its tuneful whistle. Fire chief Walter Westlake kept 1 'atch on the wood burn- locomotive, but in expert hands the huge machine gave off no sparks and very little smoke. Zurich Majorettes Another highlight was the baton - twirling high - stepping parade of ktajorettes from Zur- ich, some of whom appeared al- most too young to march all the way from the poet office to the Agricultural Park. The main feature of the par- ade were, to many, however, the colorful floats, the clowns, the decorated bik."clos and the contrived (xxilumes worn by pedectrian and other entrants. The entire parade was organ- ized and managed by Lions Alf Scotchmer, "Pete" Peterson and Robert Maloney. Judges were, Brigadier W. S. Murdock. Mrs. R. G. Hunter, Mrs. F. P. Arkell and Mrs. E.
