Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Ormond
returned to Bayfield on Satur-
day after a fortnight's trip to
the United States.
Mrs. Ormond spent some
time with her daughter in Ash-
tabula, Ohio, while Mr. Ormond
went to Greenville, S.C., return-
ing via the Smoky Mountains
and Cincinnati to Ashtabula
where he joined Mrs. Ormond.
Mrs. Raymond Bristol, who
has been at her cottage on
Charles St. since June, left for
London today enroute to her
home in Washington, D.C.
Mrs. Malcolm' Toms spent
several days in Kitchener last
week visiting her daughter and
family, OPP Cpl. and Mrs.
Lloyd Westlake.
Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher Mc-
Laughlin, Toronto, were with
Mrs. J. Cluff this weekend.
Mrs. R. A. Simons of Bay-
firld and Ottawa, is at present
a patient in the Civic Hospital,

Quell 3 Blazes
Members of the Bayfield
Volunteer Fire Brigade answer-
ed calls to three fires over the
weekend, none of which caused
serious damage.
On Friday the brigade extin-
guished a grass fire near the
Bayfield River Bridge which
was believed to have been set
by children playing with mat-
ches.
On Saturday they put out a
chimney fire at the home of
Lindsay Smith and on Monday
morning they extinguished a
small blaze in Irvine Snider's
barn north of Drysdale.

Lewis, who passed away in

and son-in-law.

are out in, the U.S. and the
weekly average showed ABC
first with 20, CBS 19 and NBC
17.7.
It would appear that the
Beverly Hillbillies are on their
way out of TV schedules .The
overwhelming favorite for two
seasons dropped to 22nd place.
The 'top ten are: Bonanza,
Bewitched, Gomer Pyle USMC,
World Series, My Three Sons,
The Fugitive, Dick Van Dyke,
Petticoat Junction, The Ad-
dams Family and Combat tied
for 9th spot with Red Skelton
in 10th position.

Last Thursday evening on the
CTV network which pre-empt-
ed Jack Paar for one occasion,
Sophia Loren gave us an intim-
ate insight •into Rome. The
visits to historical landmarks
and the comments on her city
and its people were interesting.
Several times Sophia invited
the listeners to "come with
me." Once would have been
enough. We'd go with Sophia
Loren anywhere—anytime.

Canada to guest-produce "This
Hour Has Seven Days" on Sun-
day, November 22. Part of this

Renata Tebaldi, famed so-
prano of the Metropolitan Op-
era, will come to Toronto in
February to tape a recital for

Meet Governor
The Hayfield Lions Club held
their regular dinner meeting
on Tuesday evening, November
10. District Governor Pete
Bissonette of the Lucknow
Club paid his official visit to
the Bayfield Club. Lion Presi-
dent Adam Flowers, introduced
the district governor and wel-
comed him to the Club.
Governor Bissonette present-
ed statistics and outlined his
duties and relations as a gov-
ernor to the Club in his district.
Lion Wilburt Fralick pre-
sented Lion Bissonette with a
gift and thanked him on behalf
of the Club for his visit.
When driving in heavy fog
headlights on low beam reflect
less light back into the driver's
eyes than headlights on high
beam.
