While there he at- tended the 75th anniversary celebration of Earls-Court School where he was principal for almost 20 years prior to his retirement. Mr. Cameron also visited his daughter, Mrs. Isa- bel McPherson. With Mrs. Jack Cluff for the weekend were her son and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cluff of Stoney Creek, her daughters and sons-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher McLaughlin, Toronto; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Moss, Lon- don; Mr. and Mrs. Guy Faller, and their balby son, of Detroit, Michigan. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Weston of Madison Heights, Mich., re- cently spent two weeks in the village working on their new home on Main St. With them for a weekend were their son, Ray, his wife and their two children, Mike and Pat, from Utica, Mich. Mr. and Mrs. Weston intend to take up resi- dence in their new home in January. Scouts Lorne Merner, Calv- in Scotchmer and Michael Gal- lant attended a one-day boy leader conference at RCAF Sta- tion Clinton on Sunday, Nov. 29. An accident kills a farm resi- dent every 3.7 hours. A farmer is killed every 7.3 hours in a work accident, according to the National Safety League of Canada. Diehl on Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 25. Mrs. J. B. Higgins played for the singing of a hymn and Rev. E. J. B. Harrison conducted a devotional period. The meet- ing was chaired by Mrs. R. J. Larson, president. Eleven members answered the roll call, and Mrs. F. H. Paull was a guest. Read Letters Mrs. J. B. Higgins read the minutes of the last meeting and a letter from Mrs. H. Tichborne, Deanery Social Sec- retary, and a thank-you card from Mrs. E. A. Featherston. Mrs. R. H. F. Gairdner gave the financial statement and re- ported most of the calendars had been sold. Mrs. Gairdner introduced the new study book "This Is My Calling", and the rector closed the meeting with prayer. The hostess, Mrs. J. M. Stewart was assisted in serving tea by Mrs. R. B. Johnston and Mrs. Percy Weston. Agnes Stirling Buried Tuesday At Bayfield Miss Agnes Stirling- a Bay- field native for more than 80 years—died on Sunday at Hur- onview Home for the Aged at Clinton. She was 97 years old. Miss Stirling was born May 30, 1867, at Dundas, Ont., the daughter of the late Archibald Stirling and Mary Anne Gil- mour. She spent the first seven years of her life at Dundas, and later moved to Bayfield where she lived for more than 80 years. She had been a guest at Hur- onview since the winter of 1954. Miss Stirling was a member of Bayfield Presbyterian Church. The funeral was Tuesday from Stiles Funeral Home at Goderich with Rev. A. G. Pease officiating. Interment was in Bayfield Cemetery. Miss Stirling is survived by nephews and nieces including: Chester Nicholson of Goderich; Rhea and Edna Stirling of Lon- don; Roy Dewar of London and Chester Johnstone of Sarnia.
