recent weekend guests of his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. Lar-
son.
Miss Brenda Makins cele-
brated her eleventh birthday an
Saturday and has as her guests,
Colleen Merrier, Patricia Payne
and Wendy Green In the af-
ternoon they all enjoyed a sleigh
ride with Mr. Adam Flowers
and for dinner were joined by
Brenda's grandparents, Mr. and
Mrs. George Knight, London.
Spending the weekend with
their parents, Mr. and Mrs.
John Land, were Sandy Land,
Brantford, and Mr. and Mrs.
Andrew Land, Toronto.
Mrs. Jack Hammond recent-
ly retired, after filling the posi-
tion of postmistress for 17
years. She is succeeded by
Mrs. M. Mayman.
Mrs. L. B. Smith has been
spending a week in London vis-
iting her daughter, Mrs. E.
Rowse and family. Mr. Smith
joined them on Thursday, and
he and Mrs. Smith returned to
the village on Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. E. Hewitt ac-
companied by Miss Terry Mac-
Vicar spent Sunday in Sim-
coe.
Spending a day in the vill-
age this week were Mrs. Nelson
McConkey and John McCon-
key, London; Mr. F. Peters
and Mr. Lightfoot, Stratford;
Mr. and Mrs. George Kalil°,
Detroit, and. Mrs. Gerald Wes-
ton, Londbn.
Mr. and Mrs. R. Roy Fitzsim-
ons, Terry and Karen visited
their daughter Mrs. Otto Smale
at Sitrathroy Middlesex General
Hospital on Saturday. Mrs.
Smale was admitted Friday aft-
er a fall in her home which
fractured her left ankle.
Mrs. Srnale's daughter, Dar-
lene, returned home with, her
grandparents. On Sunday, Mr.
and Mrs. Fitzsimons, Terry and
Karen, Kelso and Darlene, vis-
ited Mrs. Sinale.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Lar-
son and Karen, London, spent
the week-end with her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. R. Larson.

The Rev. E. J. 13. Harrison,
rector, announced a six-lesson
carol service will be held near
Christmas, and closed the
meeting with prayer and bene-
diction.
During the social hour which
followed a lunch was served
featuring a birthday cake in
honor of Mrs. J. Cluff and
Mrs. P. Weston. The January
meeting will be held at the
home of Mrs. Lloyd Scotchmer.
