Trinity Church Vestry Meeting Names Officers For 1966

Trinity church vestry meeting
was on Friday January 21st. The
meeting was opened by the Rector,
Rev. E.J.B. Harrison with prayers
and a reading from St. Matthews
Ch. VI , VV 1-15.
The Rector's report mentioned
reappointment of Fred Arkell as
Rectors Warden, also an increase
in financial responsibilities from
55% to 60% resulting from the clos-
ing of St. John's Church, Varna,
and consequent assimilation of that
parish. St. Johns, Varna, ceased
to exist as a separate parish, Dec.
31st, 1965, following the deconse-
cration of St. Johns Church by
Bishop Appleyard on November 21 and
a joint parish financial commitment:
are now shared by Bayfield and Mid-
dleton congregations on a 60/40
basis.
Reports were read and moved for
adoption by Peoples Warden, Lloyd
Scotchmer, and Rectors Wardon, Fred
Arkell. The treasurer's report, in
the absence of Mrs. J. Howard, was
read and moved for adoption by
Fred Arkell, an interim report of
the Women's Auxillary was read by
Mrs.M. Larson on behalf of Mrs. R.
H.F. Gairdner who was unable to be
present , The Parish Guild report
was read and moved for adoption by
Mrs. L. B. Smith. The Trinity Club
report by Mrs. W.E. Parker. Chance:
Guild report and Sunday School re-
port by Mrs. Larson. Cent-A-Meal
report by George Bellchamber on be-
half of Mrs. Audrey Bellchamber.
Envelopes Secretary's report by
Mrs. J. Jowett. Auditor's report
was given by George Bellchamber. A:
All reports were seconded for ad-
option by Fred Arkell and carried.
Appointed and elected officers
for 1966 are as follows: Rectors
Warden. Fred Arkell, Peoples
Warden Lloyd Scotchmer, Board of
Management, elected Mrs. J. Cluff,
Harry Baker, George Bellchamber,
Mrs. W.E. Parker, Mrs. R.J. Larson,
and Robert Turner, appointed, Mrs.
L.B. Smith, Mrs. Lloyd Scotchmer,
J.E. Hovey, John Stewart, A.F.
Scotchmer, and Mrs. Percy Weston.
Other officers are, Vestry Clerk,
and secretary to the Board of Man-
agement, Harry Baker; Treasurer
and Paymaster, Mrs. J. Howard;
Envelope Clerk. Mrs. J. Jowett;
Chairman of Sidesmen, Lloyd Scot-
chmer; Deputy Chairman of Sidesmen,
Fred Arkell; Lay Delegate to Synod;
Lloyd Scotchmer; alternate delegate
Fred Arkell; "Cent-a-Meal" Fund
Chairman, Mrs. G. Bellchamber;
Auditors, J.E. Hovey, Harry Baker,
