Garry Wilson
The body of Garry Wilson was
recovered by a skin-diver on Thurs-
day, January 6th from a water-
filled tunnel under a lock in the
Welland Canal at St. Catharines.
The 22-year old Brussels welder
was last seen Dec. 22 at the canal
site where Schwenger Construction
Ltd. of Burlington is modifying
the locks.
His work gloves and Lundh pail
were found at the job site, but
police could not explain his dis-
appearance. Later they came up
with the theory he might have been
lost in the tunnel.
He had been employed with the
Schwenger company only a short
time.
He is survived by his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Wilson, of
R.R 3, Brussels, two brothers,
Frank, of Brussels, and Scott
at home, and three sisters, Mrs.
James (Helen) Fisher, of R R 4,
Goderich, Mrs. Jack (Joan) Merner
Of Bayfield, and Gail, at home.
Mr. Garry Wilson was buried in
Brussels.
