The Brownie Pack
held their regular
meeting February 9th
when it took the form
of a Valentine party.
Games were played,fol-
lowed by refreshments
which consisted of
ginger ale and cook-
ies which had been
donated for the occ-
asion.
Cubs
The Cubs' regular
weekly meeting was
also held February 9
with a good attendance
despite the cold, icy
weather conditions.
The meeting opened
with the investiture
of Kelvin Merner who
was presented to the
Cubmaster by Sixer
Walter Pierson of the
Blue Six. After the
repeating of the Cub
law and promise, Cub
Instructors Linda Pi-
erson and Terry McVic-
ar presented Kelvin
with the Cub scarfe
and hat. The Grand
Howl followed, with
Kelvin joining in for
the first time as a
Cub.

amateur theatricals.
A life-long member
of the Anglican church
with considerable ex-
perience in choir work
she was active in all
organizations of St.
Paul's church, Hens-
all, where she served
as organist for some
years.
In the work of the
W.A. she had filled
the post of president
and other offices in
the St. Paul's branch
over the years and

was Huron Deanery sec-
retary treasurer.
Surviving are her
husband and one son,
Robert W. Middleton of
Hensall, also a sist-
er, Mrs. Carl E.(Lucy)

Mrs. Robert H. Midd-
leton, Hensall, died
in St. Joseph's Hosp-
ital, London, on Mon-
day evening, February
15, following a leng-
thy illness.
Born in Bayfield,
she was formerly Miss
Jean Margaret Woods,
younger daughter of
the late Dr. N.W.
Woods and Margaret F.
Buchan.
She received her
primary education in
Bayfield Public Schoo]
and attended Clinton
Collegiate and Strat-
ford Normal School.
She taught school
near Orton and in
Galt before entering
Toronto General Hosp-
ital to train as a
nurse. She was a mem-
ber of the class of
1933.
On June 18, 1938,
she was married in
Trinity Church, Bay-
field, to Robert H.
Middletor, younger sox
of the late Sheriff ad
and Mrs. Charles G .
Middleton of Clinton.
