BAYFIELD BRIEFS
During the Fall and
Winter months, the
piers at Hayfield hair
e taken a beating in
the storms. Now the
outer sections of the
concrete piers are
breaking away from till
main sections and die
appearing into the
water under a high
load of accumulated
ice and snow. The dam
age was visible in
the early fall and no%
the situation seems to
be worsening.
In view of the im-
portance of the tour-
ist trade to places
of business in Bayne
ld. it has been wugg-
cited that the fish-
ermen and Hayfield
Businessmen's Assoc.
should be encouraged
to get their heads
together and go aftc-
some repairs from the
Department of Public
Works at Ottawa.
