The 12th annual Mernor
Family Reunion was held July
19 at Cedar Grove, Bronson
Line, Zurich, with about 100
members in attendance.
Sports for the children was
under the direction of Mr. and
Mrs. Bob Reschke, of Detroit.
After a smorgasbord supper,
a short business session was
held. It was agreed to hold the
1965 reunion on the third Sun-
day in July at Lions Park, Sea-
f“rth.

Merner Reunion
Held At Zurich
On Sunday morning, Mr. and
Mrs. Alan Galbraith entertain-
ed 50 friends and relatives to
an outdoor breakfast party ser-
ved from the patio of their cot-
tage on Bayfield Terrace, over-
looking the harbour.
While visiting in the village
on Saturday, Mrs. C. Knuckey
had the misfortune to fall and
break her leg„ and is now a
patient in Clinton Public Hos-
pital.
Mrs. M. Toms had her neph-
ew and his wife, Mr. and Mrs.
Lloyd Johnson. Galt with her
for the weekend. Coming on
Tuesday to spend a few days
with Mr. and Mrs. Toms are
Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Burnell
and three children, Guelph.
Miss Kathleen Reid spent
Tuesday evening at Enfield, ac-
companied by Mrs. H. S. Gow-
an, Mrs. Ken Petrie and Mrs.
D. V. White.

Bettles Reunion
Held At Seaforth
The Betties Picnic was held
recently in Seaforth Lions Park
with a good attendance. After
dinner, the following officers
were elected for 1965:
President, Mrs. Jim Young:
vice-president, Paul Betties;
secretary-treasurer, Mrs. Allen
Bottles; sports committee.
Bruce Betties and Gary Bet-
tles.
The afternoon sports program
was under the direction of Mr.
and Mrs. Alvin Betties and Mr.
and Mrs. Ken Settles. A candy
scramble was held for the
children.
It was decided to hold the
1965 picnic in the same place
next year on the last Sunday
in July.
• Mr. and Mrs. John Hayman,
John, Gayle, Marnie, Barbara
and Paul of Belleville, are stay-
ing at his parents cottage in
the Jowett Grove area for three
weeks.
Staying with Mrs. Jack Cluff
from Friday until Sunday were
her son and his wife, Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Cluff, Stoney Creek
and Paul Mass, London.
Mrs. J. J. DuCharme, Lon-
don, spent a few days with Mr.
and Mrs. G. N. Rivers last
week.

his aunt, Mrs. J. E. Howard on
Wednesday last week, for his
mother's birthday celebration.
Rev. and Mrs. H. G. E. Crosby

turned to Moortown on Thurs-
day.
Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Johnston
and two children returned to
Port Credit on Tuesday after
having occupied the Willock
cottage for three weeks.
