An interesting new by - law
in Atlanta is reported by the
Ontario Safety League. Motor-
ists are now required to use
their headlights in all rainy or
otherwise inclement weather.
The tremendous upsurge in ac-
cidents on city streets during
rainy weather has caused of-
ficials to attempt new remed-
ies for the situation.
Headlights on during these
low-visibility perkxLs will serve
two purposes. The first, mak-
ing cars more visible to other
drivers, is obvious. The second
effect will be to increase safety
awareness.
