Mrs. A. Furter, who has been
staying with her brother, Har-
old Stinson, for August, return-
ed to London on Tuesday.

This excited group of guides and scouts left Bayfield bright and early Wed-
nesday of last week for a day-long bus trip to Niagara Falls. The group was
under the direction of District Scout Commissioner Jack Gallant, Guide Capt.
Mrs. Robert Maloney and Guide Lieutenant Mrs. D. Warner. Those ion the
group above include: Linda Scotchmer, Vicky Scotchmer, Delores Telford, Mon-
ica Gemeinhardt, Lynn Brandon, Karen Fitzsimons, Colleen Merner, Kathy Wes-
ton, Patsy Maloney, Nancy Heard, Sandra Erickson, Brenda Makins, Penny
Howlett, Jim Maloney, Cal Scotchmer, Mickey Gallant, Robbie MacVean, Lorne

were at their home, "Shangri-
La", from Friday till Sunday.
Their guests included their
daughter and her husband, F/O
and Mrs. M. Barber and baby
Gillian. Centralia; Mr. and
Mrs. S. Barber and Stephanie,
London and Tony Barber, of
Windsor.
Dr. and Mrs. R. G. Hunter,
Miss Sally Beth Hunter and
Mrs. Hunter's mother, Mrs.
Charles F. Rogers have left
their village home to return to
Toronto. With them for the
past three weeks were their
daughter and her husband, Dr.
and Mrs, John Downie and
their daughters, Christen and
Jocelyn. Miss Sally Beth Hun-
ter is leaving Toronto on Wed-
nesday for Vancouver, for a
visit prior to her return to
university.
Three families with summer
homes in Bayfield always gath-
er on Labour Day at one of
their respective homes for an
end-of-summer dinner party.
This year. Mr. and Mrs. Lance,
Mr. and Mrs. Burch with their
families joined Dr. and Mrs.
Hunter and family at the Hun-
ter residence on Ann and Vic-
toria Place, for the event.
Mr. and Mrs. Norman Toms
of Detroit were guests of his
brother, Charles Toms, for a
few days last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Burch,
their daughter Janet and son,
Donald, of Sudbury, have been
at their cottage for the past
two weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Miller,
Toronto, are occupying Miss
Hodgins cottage, "Stonehaven"
for their vacation.
Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Schell
of St. Petersburg, Fla., were
guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd
Makins on Sunday.
Miss M. Hodgins and Miss
M. Macdonald returned to To-
ronto on Tuesday after having
spent the summer months at
"Stonehaven."
Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Stirling,
their son and daughter-in-law,
Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Stirling,
Goderich, Mrs. Hugh McLaren.
Port Elgin, and Miss Josephine
Stirling left for Pickford, Mich.
on Friday, owing to the serious
illness of their sister, Mrs. John
Crawford.
